Beacon Restaurant — Restaurant in Wasaga Beach

The service was terrible. The first set of utensils that I received was dirty, so I asked for a new one. There was miscommunication about the side that came with my meal; it turned out it was something extra that I had to pay for, which I didn't find out until I received the bill because of how the offer of the sides were presented. My waitress was a new employee; I am understanding of that fact and that mistakes can happen, but the manager, however, is a different story. I asked about the discrepancy in my bill and the menu and he kept misinterpreting what I ordered and mixing it up with my friend's order. He also fought me on the price of the main dish because he didn't understand my issue with the price and started deflecting and making passive, backhanded, rude comments towards me, making it seem like I was the one at fault. That's where I drew the line; Trash Behaviour. I'm never coming back again. How the restaurant has a four star rating...

It was like entering the twilight zone! Thought for a minute I was on a hidden camera show. Taylor, is hands down one of the weirdest people I have ever encountered working at a restaurant. He openly hated being there. We were greeted with "warning, the service is going to be terrible today" When we asked if they were getting ready to close (2-3pm or so) he replied "No but I wish!" Beautiful attitude! We ordered drinks, twice. Never recieved one. Apparently "a lot happened" in the 3 minutes he was away from the table. Second time around....still not a drink to he seen. The guy was rude, abrupt while the entire time making faces like a baby with a big load in his diaper. We walked out without ever seeing a menu. Taylor, go change your pad my man. Terrible terrible service. My family and I were visiting Wasaga for the weekend and came here for dinner. It wasn’t busy and we weren’t greeted by anyone when we came into the restaurant. Our waitress was not great at her job and seemed very confused every interaction with us. There were 5 of us sat and we didn’t receive our food (2 salads and 3 entrees) until 45 mins after we ordered and asked 3 times. Every server was pretty rude and gave off weird vibes as if they didn’t want us in their restaurant. We hadn’t done anything strange to deserve that kind of treatment but after reading other reviews, it seems to be how they treat their customers in general. Luckily, the quality of the food was alright so that was something positive. However, we will not be coming here again and hope that others...
