This was our first experience at Summerhill and we stayed in a three person cabin for five nights and were more than pleased with the service. Summerhill offered us an even cheaper rate than where we stayed last year in a tent at a different campsite. Not only was the price extremely reasonable but both our accommodations and the washrooms/showers/overall campground were immaculate. The shower stalls were also individual which was really nice. The first day we arrived we went out to get groceries not knowing a major storm was coming and had left our cabin windows open and were very upset all our bedding was wet and the staff immediately took our linens and offered to dry it all for us while offering both fresh linens and pillows in the meantime before promptly and personally delivering our linens fresh. The remainder of our stay they continued to impress us with their especially kind and accommodating service as well as the security guard who was equally friendly and efficient in addressing any issues in the later hours. The cabins were well equipped and cozy and the proximity to the beach and other amenities was unbeatable... Literally a 5 min. walk to the beach. We are looking forward to returning whether it be just the two of us or with a group of friends as the larger accommodations/group rates are equally...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMyself and a close friend of mine just spent our May 24 weekend in Wasaga at Summerhill. There is so many amazing things about this place. First of all, our initial reaction to seeing the inside of our little cottage was " this is the cutest , most humble place ever! " The cottage was small , but no damages, and just enough space for the two of us to be comfortable. When booking , they did inform us that our cottage would not have a bathroom in it , and that we would have to go use a shared area to do so. This is the part that scared us , we thought it would be unsanitary.. To our dismay , we walked in the bathroom and it was spotless. Not only that , but it didn't smell disgusting . Through out the weekend , I noticed , it was not common at all for the bathroom to run out of paper towel or toilet paper which is something else that we were worried about, it wasn't not a problem. The owners were outstanding but more importantly.. always available. They stayed around site to ensure everyone safety . We were treated so well from beginning to end. The only thing I really could say that would have improved out trip would be pack lots and lots of extra blankets, night time can get cold !
Aside from that , I will 100% be returning , Planning two trips at the end of the summer already ! So so so pleased with our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy School stayed at Summerhill cottages this year after our High School graduation. It was exactly what we were looking for! ||- Close to the beach, but not right on the main strip.||- Inexpensive ||- Student Friendly ||||The owners were very nice and always there when we needed them. They were really understanding that this was our graduation trip, and as long as we weren't doing anything really crazy they never complained. ||||The only downsides that some poeple mentioned were; ||1. There's no A/C so the cottages (especially ones with up-stairs) get EXTREMELY hot at night ||2. You have to clean the cottages before you leave to the point where they look like how they did when you got them - but the staff provide cleaning supplies! ||3. You have to bring everything with you - from towels and bedding, to paper towels and dish soap||4. Most of the group around the cottages is sand, so the floors get gross by the end of the weekend and everyone walking in and out ||||Overall though this is definitely the perfect place to stay with a large group (there was over 50 of us), the pros strongly outweighed the cons, and the owners were so nice and chill. ||||If you're going with your school message me if you have...
