I recently stayed at this motel and had a mixed experience. I booked my stay over the phone directly with the motel and spoke with Aaron. However, I never received a confirmation, and I had to keep calling to follow up. It felt like I was bothering them, despite being promised a confirmation that never came. I actually still do not even have a receipt of payment.
Upon arrival, we had to wait a few hours for our room to be ready. This was understandable, as the staff were working hard to prepare rooms despite issues with their washers and dryers. Their efforts to accommodate everyone did not go unnoticed. Fortunately, we had booked two rooms, so we could wait in one until the other was ready.
Once in the room, I noticed that the charge on my card was higher than the quoted price. When I brought this up, I was told it had to be resolved with Aaron. After a call, he initially insisted the rate was $300, but upon reminding him of the original quote, he refunded my Visa. This process made me feel uneasy, though my bank confirmed the refund should go through.
The rooms were not cleaned thoroughly; I found empty beer bottles behind the fridge while searching for an outlet. I’m sure this was due to the rush of people checking in and the shortage of working equipment. The carpets and interior are due for an upgrade, as are the bathrooms. However, the air conditioner worked well, and the motel is conveniently located just 1km from the beach, which is a nice bonus. The on-site staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
One odd thing was that other guests and I were charged different rates when booking directly through the motel. I’m not sure if this is a standard practice.

Read moreTheir response to my review just goes to show how they do not take accountability for their poor management. I did not try to check in early, checkin was meant to be at 2PM. Did not get in until 530PM. Once the cleaning lady told me about the delay i left and did not come back or speak to anyone. Stay elsewhere!
BEWARE this place is absolute trash. I do not understand how they have any good reviews. They were 3.5 hours late letting me check in because they were understaffed but looking at older reviews this seems to be a common occurance. My room kept getting power surges every 1min30sec because of the ac, so it was either use the ac and have no lights or tv, or unplug the ac to be able to use lights and tv. Walking barefoot left me with very dirty feet. The sheets had hair and stains. There wasnt enough parking for all guests, my sister had to park in a "no parking" zone. The pool was closed which again, looking at past reviews is a common occurence although we were allowed to use the pool across the street...if it werent for the 1000s of other issues the pool wouldnt have been a big deal. My husband has physical limitations (Parkinson's) and the mattress was so soft and sunken in that he required assistance to get out of bed which was multiple times throughout the night. Needless to say, we were exhausted in the morning!! There were no wash clothes to use and the shower would not drain the water! At 10:30am the following morning I went to the office to discuss with the staff only to find the office door locked and no one was around to discuss my concerns with. We were staying in the area for another day and left to visit with our relatives and returned mid afternoon to advise we were unable to stay another night due to the above stated concerns. The staff took note of our concerns and I requested a return call from the manager to express my concerns. The staff commented that there was likely hair in the shower drain and if this was the case, why was this not detected when they cleaned before we arrived? Another comment was the beds are all the same!! The 2 night charge was charged from my credit card before we checked in and I have not had an opportunity to discuss my concerns with management even after 3 follow up requests.
