I am a sucker for their bread, plain and simple.
Cobs Bakery, located by the Splash Pad at the Boardwalk, sells fresh loaves of variois kinds of bread. Customers have their choice between having their loaves cut regular or thick cut, or cutting it themselves at home.
Their breads range from classic white to sour dough to cinnamon and more.
They also offer scones, danishes, cinnamom rolls, and other sweet treats, made on site. Their scones are amazing, they also offer some scones seasonally, like pumpkin spice in the fall, gingerbread in winter, and so on.
Now, being fresh made, it tends to cost a fair penny more. A loaf of white is around four dollars, a loaf of connamon is around six, just for example. On the other hand, the qulaity is there, and the only time I have had such good bread is when it was made fresh at home.
For a nice treat and a taste of quality, Cobs is worth checking out. It has been a popular addition to the collection of astores at...

I purchased six scones and they were all different sizes (a couple were almost 1/4 size of others) which is unfortunate and not what is expected from a professional business. Furthermore, the mushroom and cheese buns were likewise mismatched in shape--I ordered three and two were of okay size, but one looked like half the size of the others...not what I paid for nor expected. I understand that it may be a rushed bakery, but all products should be the same in size if you are planning to ask the same price for all of them. I decided to try this bakery on a whim as I saw "now open" signs everywhere, but I will not be returning. The scones were dry, tasted like too much yeast was used and the sizes were mismatched. I much prefer Lisboa Bakery....not even...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was there in late June and the employee (young woman) would not respect that I have a medical condition that precludes me from wearing a mask. She was having absolutely none of it. I keep one on my person for situations like this and put it on begrudgingly. After I paid I went to grab the bag and started taking my mask off (there was no one else in the store). The employee grabbed the bag from my hand and pulled it across the counter and demanded I put my mask back on even though I hadnāt even had it fully off yet! Not to mention I HAD PAID. What is she going to do? Not give me my purchase? I was literally waking out of an empty store. Shame on this business for not respecting that people have legitimate medical exemptions - and almost rip items from their...
