Montana’s BBQ & Bar — Restaurant in Waterloo

[I keep editing this because I keep remembering more and more about how bad this was. The photo that I attached is a picture of the lettuce from ALL THREE of our burgers. And that's a side dish that they're sitting on.]

This used to be our favourite place to eat, ever. We were eating here almost every weekend and loved the place. We used to recommend Montana's to everyone. We stopped going only because we figured we should try somewhere else but ultimately always missed the place.

Last night we came back with a craving for Firecracker Chipotle burgers. We used to always feel full, satisfied and got our money's worth. Not last night. The food was substandard, and was an embarrassment to even serve it. Our waitress Kristina was excellent, but clearly overworked. She's the only reason that this is a two star review instead of one.

Kristina was clearly offended by the food presented, which was brought to us by other staff and not be her. The lettuce on our burgers looked like it has been scraped out of the back of a month old fridge. The portion sizes are half of what they used to be. A Big Mac is bigger -- and tastier. My wife's burger, ordered without bacon and with extra onion showed up with bacon and no onion. Our chicken tacos almost had ice in the chicken, not even remotely warm. The fries that used to be overflowing from our plates are now served in a tiny bowl. My 18 fries were tasty though. Kristina tried to make it right, but we had an event to go to and couldn't stay longer because it took 45 minutes for our food to be brought to us. The manager, who I believe was referred to as Chris, knocked a burger and an app from our bill, but didn't talk to us and apologize.

I used the washroom to wash my hands and was offended at the state of it. There's urine on the floor, the urinals are almost over flowing, there's dirt on the walls up to the ceiling, the mirrors are filthy, and the smell is horrible.

What went from one of our favourite places has been reduced to an embarrassment that will take a lot of work to be cleaned up and run properly. If Chris is truly the manager, they're in over their head and need to be replaced immediately. If there's management here, we didn't see it. Time to clean house and start again.

After talking to the rest of my family, one of my kids was sick after eating here, and last night my stomach was off with diarrhea and today I have a pounding headache. Coincidence?

I look forward to the times when I can take my family out for dinner and spend money on a good quality dinner. However this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth (literally) to the point where I just won't come back. It was disappointing from...

Hmmmm!! The all you can ribs are awesome!

I have an awesome review for this restaurant, however we visited this location this past weekend for a birthday event. And I was not impressed with the waitress we had at all. As someone spilled there pop. She came with rags and threw them on the table and said let me know if you need more rags and walked away. Never offered any help to clean the mess, sure she brought more rags. But she wasn’t impressed on how this was handled. No one at our table was. She overall was rude about it.

Both the girl and guy waitress and waiter seem upset they had to deal with our party. It was a party of adults and not children.

My wife ordered the chicken taco which she enjoyed. I ordered the chicken fajitas which were also very tasty however the chicken was a little burnt. On another visit : most recent we visit this location again. And once again they failed to impress, we were seated in the bar area and we were given our drinks.

Then about 30 minutes later the waitress came up with 2 bowls of soup we didn’t even order and said “ oh I am sorry I forgot to put your order in so these are on the house” we I don’t eat soup.

So she offered me a small chaser salad” but then we still need to wait about another 30 minutes and we finally got our food we ordered.

I order the chicken fajitas once again and found the meat to be a little cold and the veggies to be a little greasy, my wife ordered the chicken wings and she wasn’t overly impressed with them as she thought they had to much batter on them, making them untasty and wasn’t that warm she stated.

So overall our last two visits to this location were less...

I am a little late with this one but I want to give credit where credit is due! We had a very large birthday table last Saturday, about 20 of us. We had Portia, Gemma and Sydney serving us. For such a large bunch and with Sydney being new, they did a fantastic job trying to maintain such a large table. I commend the lovely staff members for being patient and very friendly. Long story but ends well.

My meal came out cold, so, I waited about ten minutes for the waitress to come back, then another 15 minutes after that for someone to come talk to me. The manager Lyndsey came over and offered to remake the meal, which I would have accepted had they offered that right away, but because everyone had already eaten by this time I was not good with that. My sister asked since everyone else was done eating to remake the meal to go, but also credit the meal on my bill. Lyndsay agreed to this immediately! And within 15 minutes, my take out was ready for me to enjoy at home. Not only that, our server Sydney apologized over and over again. As I did to her as I am sure a table of this many is overwhelming. Even with the food issue, they were so nice and very willing to help me out. So, I gave an extra star for that. Our three servers were amazing!!! And thank you to Lyndsey for helping with my meal, I heated it up at home and it was fantastic!!!

Because of how they handled the entire situation while being understaffed, I will 100% go back and support...
