Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea — Restaurant in Waterloo

I do love all their drinks but today I was truly disappointed because Yi Fang could not live up to the customer's expectations. They sent out a promo as following at 12:12 pm:

I happened to be in the neighborhood and popped straight into the store within 3 minutes I received the promotion because I was so excited about it. To my dismay, the cashier told me that they ran out of hot drink's cups and they would not be able to make any hot drinks for the rest of today at all. I was like what do you mean? Apparently, the Ginger tea in the promotion was served hot. I have no idea that Ginger Tea is served only in hot, do you guys know that? Let me know if I am wrong. I had always thought they can make the drinks both hot and cold.

I hope everyone else has better luck than me! No, I will not ever return to Yi Fang ever again though I love the drinks. Perhaps, today's experience had made me feel something sketchy about...

May 2025 Back here again...for mango season drink.. loved it,subtle sweet with jelly is what you need on a hot summer day Attached Image

May 2024 Visited this gem again.. this time we ordered 1 Sunkissed drink(Mango) you cant have it warm..it can only be done cold. 2 Sugarcane with tapioca wish the sugarcane flavor was popping..instead it was very very subtle and even pearls were not great

2023 A neat quite place to hang out.

Tried boba here randomly and fell in love. Special mention they are using Natrel milk for mango drink (attached image). Ordered brown sugar boba and peach tea for my partner. Honestly I liked fruit tea better.Would recommend fruit teas more than milk teas. They have a wide selection of flavors. Friendly staff and very neat place. Will be back to try sugarcane and mango with sago drinks.

One big thing you can take away from this is that this place is not yifang at all and is unfortunately a scam. The new owners took over the place and everything has changed as a result.

I don’t understand why this place is still marketing with the Yifang franchise brand. Yifang has closed all operations within Canada and it’s evident that this store is just using its name and brand while delivering subpar quality of drinks. Their tea quality and pearls are very average and they’re marketing them at premium prices at Yifang prices. You can literally look at the other images from other reviewers and nowhere can you find Yifang packaging on the straws or cups. To the owners, Be honest and transparent because this is calling for a lawsuit from yifang! Go to other bbt stores so you won’t get...
