I recently ordered from this take-out pizza place for a family gathering, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. First, there seems to be some confusion among reviewers. This establishment is not to be mistaken for 'Casa Mia,' a lovely family-run restaurant known for its dine-in service and wine offerings. In contrast, this is a take-out only venue, you would never eat in. During the ordering process, I encountered rudeness and unprofessionalism from the owner. When I needed to change the size of a pizza, the response was belittling and condescending, which was more than distressing, especially since it was my birthday. Despite this, I proceeded with the order, prioritizing the needs of my family. Upon arrival to pick up our order, my husband was initially ignored by the staff, adding to the negative experience. As for the food, the pizzas were horrible. They lacked flavor and had a cardboard-like texture, making them terrible value for the price of $108.00. Frankly, even frozen pizzas would have been a better option. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this establishment. The service was unwelcoming, and the quality of the pizza was subpar. It's unfortunate, as I had hoped to support a local business, but this experience was disheartening." I would not categorize this as a family business. It is just one rude guy who runs a bad takeout...
Read moreSorrento’s Pizza has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it’s still my go-to spot today. The chicken pesto pizza with jalapeños is hands down a must-order — I’ve been getting it since I was a kid, and it’s as perfect now as it was back then. The crust is always just right, the pesto is rich and flavorful, and the chicken and cheese are generous and well balanced. The addition of jalapeños takes it to another level with that perfect spicy kick.
This place has become more than just a pizza joint for me — it’s a tradition. The chicken pesto pizza is a staple at my fantasy football draft every year, and it never disappoints. It’s the kind of food that everyone at the table looks forward to, and it sets the tone for a great night.
On top of the incredible food, the owner is truly one of the best. You can tell how much pride and care goes into running this shop, and it shows in every bite and every interaction. Plus, it’s a dog-friendly spot, which makes it even more special for those of us who like to bring our pups along.
If you’re in West Vancouver and want pizza that has heart, history, and unbeatable flavor, Sorrento’s is the place. God bless the owner —...
Read moreI just bought a delivery pizza. Firstly there's the $25 minimum order which is nowhere to be found on the website. So I was ok with that but really it should be listed. Secondly he said it would take an hour, my pizza was delivered after an hour and a half. When I called at about the 1hr 20 mark he said - "he's not there? I sent him over half an hour ago." And he said he would call the driver then call me back. The pizza arrived luke warm at best. When I called back the same guy who I assumed was the owner to tell him the pizza was cold - he said "there's no way it can be cold it goes straight from the over to you in 20 minutes." Even though he'd just said he sent the driver over half an hour ago. He gave me attitude so I hung up. He was disrespectful and unhelpful. I didnt ask for anything because the pizza was cold and it took so long I just wanted acknowledgement of that but instead go treated like I was lying. Not good! And the pizza was so-so because I had...
