I live near by and always wondered how their pizza tasted and I gave it a try. So, I ordered online using their website for a pick-up by 3pm, made the order at 2:10pm. Arrived at the place 10 minutes earlier expecting to pick it up by 3pm so I can have a good pizza by the time I bring it home. I spoke to one of their employees and of course asked me to wait till 3pm exactly since that was my pick-up time. I waited patiently inside their dining room as request and the order is still not out by 3:10pm. I didn't bother to ask as I expected them to come to me to notify me why the order is being out late. By 3:15pm one of their employees asks me if I am waiting for something... I told him I was waiting for a pick-up order to by picked-up 15 minutes ago and comes out with my order right after. One other employee was with him at the counter and I asked him why it took an extra 15 mins and tells me "It's okay". It's okay??? What kind of an answer is that?? I tell him it's not okay, I am asking for a simple explanation why it took an extra 15 mins and gives me an excuse telling me there was a hole in the pizza and had to remake it. So no one had to courtesy to tell me that seeing as I was waiting in their dining room? Note that I was the only customer in there at the time. He shrugs off without saying anything and walks off, I ask "so no apologies? alright" both employees says nothing and I walked out. I arrive home, open up the box and what do you know, cold pizza as well as the fries I ordered on the side. Which now I doubt about the hole in the pizza. I called the restaurant to speak to the manager about the service and was kind enough to listen to the full story and offered me his apology. Which was what I needed in the first place for the order I placed which they promised to be ready by 3. I can tell you the pizza was not bad after I heated it up as well as the fries, I paid 40$+ tips included which I didn't have to pay for when I ordered online. Was it worth it? NO. I left 2 stars because the pizza was actually my taste. Would I go back? NO. Which left me a very bitter after taste due to their horrid service. There are tons of other pizza places in Montreal which is as good if not better. It very unfortunate the employees there aren't being checked for...
Read morePink pasta was not boiled long enough and the pasta was tough to chew. staff asked for tips rudely which is weird because we are tourists here and it feels like USA 2.0 🤣 I guess the manager expect "Paul to pay for Sandy's wage" when they're the ones who're suppose to be paying the workers. It's sad because my husband went there to get take-out pizza twice and we finally had the chance to dine-in. Now I could understand why people prefer to do take-outs in this restaurant because of the 'demanding for tips' attitude the manager has. I feel sad that the workers are already making a minimum wage and potential recurring customers running away due to this behaviour. When the manager chased us for not paying tips high enough like he expected, he asked "WAS THERE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE SERVICE?!! x2",yelling and has caused us a very traumatic experience. He made us feel that we shouldn't go out to restaurants anymore and this industry is already dying. Well, all thanks to that particular person that we won't be coming to this and other restaurants anymore for a while :)) Oh and btw, we wanted to go to the bank for cash tips so the waitress could keep the money to herself instead of putting it on tab, but "Paul" was too strict about the tipping policy that he had...
Read moreWe went to Gentile Pizza Parlour for my birthday. And the entire experience was amazing. The good, and the service were great. Our waitress Claudia was superb! She attentive and gave great menu advice. We never felt we were waiting or under served. We got our food very quickly and it all came out hot and delicious. Not a single complaint to be aired.
We shared a meat ball as a appy and then each ordered pizza. The meat ball was the size of a baseball and covered in an amazing italian gravy. Delicious. The specilty pizza (seasonal) was different and unique. It had carameluzed onions and squash. I ordered the G.O.A.T. it certainly lives up to its name. Great Pizza!
My father had asked them to suprise me with a peice of birthday cake at the end of the meal and I guess I ruined the surpise by ordering some of their Banana cream pie. Claudia switched the order and brought out a peice with a candle in it and they sang Happy Birthday.
The Pie was DEVINE. Really special.
The entire Experience made my night special. The food came out quickly, the service was on point, and the food did not leave us wanting.
We will be back, and recommend this...
