Was really looking forward to trying out Corrado's with the entire family but sadly the customer service was terrible and a deterrent to any future visits. Tried to make a reservation for a group of 10, and was told that they do not take reservations. Knowing that it was a Friday, I insisted if they could make an exception and make a reservation because we were a large group. The lady on the phone assured me that for the time slot I was looking for (6pm), it would not be a problem as the restaurant typically gets busy around 730pm in the summer months. She also mentioned that there are 2 levels and the patio, so it would not be a problem to accommodate our group, and that she would make a mental note that a group of our size was coming in. I called again on Thursday and on Friday afternoon to verify and was given the same response. My party and I arrived at 6pm as stated, and as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by 5 servers/staff, who immediately told us that they could not accommodate us. I asked if they could accommodate us on the upper level or the patio and explained that I had called a few times during the week. I was then told by the young server, that everyone has to be over 18 to be served in the upper level, noticing we had a baby in hand. We had a 1 year old with us and the rest of the party were over 18. I tried to explain this to the server. There was no effort made to even look at their seating arrangement and attempt to accommodate us. We could not speak to a manager and of the 5 young servers just standing around in the front (surprising for an apparently busy Friday evening), not even one of them had the courtesy of attempting to seek a solution for us. I understand that volumes are unpredictable and no reservations are taken to increase volumes, however, how you treat customers who walk into your restaurant matters. There was no apology, no escalation to a manager and no effort of seeking a solution to join tables together. It was embarrassing to have an entire group of 10, including a baby, walk out of a restaurant, despite calling many times, to avoid this situation. For a neighborhood restaurant, it is pathetic, the lack of experience in customer service that the servers possess and ridiculous that you would turn away a group of 10 from a business perspective. We thought of Corrado's, with the intention of supporting a local business, but that was a mistake. We will not be walking into...
Read moreI was there this past weekend with a large party and I'm glad at where they placed us - upstairs and we had access to opening the windows as it was a hot night. The service was adequate and these pointers are for the male waitstaff. You did a great job serving us but one of your food runners did not tell the truth. You see, I was the last one to get my food and the large group was waiting for me and I told them to go ahead and eat. A female waitstaff that was helping you told me that they were just plating my food (this mind you was 12 minutes after everyone else got their food). When the food finally arrived it was cold. I watched everyone receive incredibly hot plates of food, and to be perfectly honest, it felt like my food sat under the warmer (barely) while everyone else's meals were brought up. If my food had just been plated and brought upstairs it should have been hot. It was primerib so it wasn't like that was freshly made. Like I said, it felt like my food was purposely left until the end and then brought up almost 10 minutes later than everyone else. In the end I just asked for a box (these are the few points for the male waiter as he was pretty good - unfortunately, you took another 9 minutes after I received my food to ask how our food was and that seemed too long, especially when my food was late). While waiting for the box, the table was starting to be cleared (that's how late my food was - I would have been 8 minutes into my dish and everyone was finished). Another tip for the waiter - bring the dessert menus when you start to clear the table. You waited until the entire party was cleared before asking if people wanted desserts and then most people said no because they didn't want to wait for the menu and then the order placing and serving. For the most part the service was okay, my disappointment was in the cold food. The primerib tasted good once I got home and heated it up - I never send my food back to the kitchen - sometimes people can feel slighted. Anyway, I just wish my first experience here, especially since I looked nothing like anyone in the restaurant, would have been a more...

I've lived in the area now for over 10 years, and this was the first time I visited this restaurant. My wife and I (who are of colour) walked in and stood at the front by the hostess table waiting to be seated. The person who seemed to be the hostess walked away, and 3 other waitresses walked right by us, not even making eye contact; it was as if we weren't there. One of these waitresses walked past us again and didn't say a word. That same waitress came back in that direction again and finally asked us where we wanted to sit; we said the patio, and she told us to find our own seat. We then walked out to the patio, and the seat we wanted was dirty. She came with the menus and saw us standing over the table because it was dirty; she only dropped the menus and walked away. Another waitress came, saw us still standing over the table, and wiped it with a wet rag. Because the table was wet, we asked for some napkins to dry it; she said the other girl would bring them. We kept standing, waiting, and none of them returned. At this point, we decided to leave. As we were walking out, both of them were doing other things; it didn't seem as if they intended to return. The first waitress that brought the menus saw us leaving and looked away as if we were invisible. As we were leaving, it was obvious others were not being treated in the same manner.
This was the worst treatment I've ever had at...
