The Greek Freak - Brooklin — Restaurant in Whitby

Wanted to give this local business a bump. We would travel for the original location, as the pita's are top notch. Was happy to see one open up close to home.

First experience was a surprise, as the location does not yet have a spit set up for pork gyro. The chicken was all excellent, but the pork dishes were not up to par. The owner absolutely agreed and has since taken a dish off the menu until they have the traffic for a large proper pork rotisserie. They also offered to replace any gyro dish we had with a free chicken dinner or pita.

Since that day, we have ordered most of everything on the menu and it is all top notch. Greek food typically ends up with a couple of lackluster items on your plate, but not here. The pitas are fat, stuffed with chicken and fries. The plates have flavorful rice, potatoes and chicken. Nothing dry or bland.

Hoping the business thrives, and gets those pork gyros up...

As we entered we were greeted by a delicious odor and a joyful “Hello”. It was our first time dining here and the awesome staff recognized that and walked us through lots of options based on how hungry we were. Nicole was reading our minds and knew exactly what to suggest for my wife. She was very proud of how great the food is here, and she was bang on with her opinion. The chicken was flavorful, succulent and perfectly portioned. The Freak Sauce was as good as Nicole bragged it would be. We got a sample of the potatoes and wow. All the vegetables were fresh, crisp, and plentiful. A simple bowl was a very large portion for a lunch. Nicole was so nice to come out and see how everything was and if it met our expectations. I wish I could give this place 20⭐️s! We ordered the 2CanDine special on UberEats. My husband chose the chicken and I chose the Freak. We both had Freak fries and rice. All I can say is WOW!! His came with 2 generous skewers of soft, deliciously marinated chicken and a very generous portion of rice and the most delicious fries smothered in their signature sauce that is simply indescribable! There was also a very gracious sized Greek salad with a delicious vinaigrette and fresh grilled pita! With this special, a canned drink of choice was even included!
