Gave it 2 stars only despite other ratings due to many things. Lost its first star at the lack of customer service. I’ve been to goodberry on multiple occasions and have seen decent customer service from the younger employees however every time I have been served by the elder employee the customer service has severely lacked. Barely a smile or hello comes from that woman and it truly makes my time at the cafe less than enjoyable. Lost its second star at the insane pricing. Seriously charging over $10 for a smoothie?? Cmon, booster juice isn’t even that expensive. Lost its third star at the inability to make consistent coffees. Every time I get a cappuccino from here it is always different whether it be bitter, too milky, or barely any foam. Seriously disappointing. If I wanted inconsistent coffee I would go to Tim Hortons. The décor is delightful, with autumn-themed touches that perfectly capture the season. 🍂🍂🍂🍁🍁🍁I couldn’t help but appreciate the handwritten chalkboard signs that add to the cozy vibe (talk about attention to detail!) I decided to stop by on a whim while visiting a friend in town. I got an orange grove iced tea and a pain au chocolat. Let me tell you, this was the best pain au chcolat I've ever had , even better than the ones in Paris or Straßburg. Light and flaky on the outside, buttery density on the inside, good quality chocolate that is melty and not too sweet. But truly what set it apart is the little sprinkle of salt on top that achieved this perfect balance of sweet and salty. I sincerely hope they never change the recipe.
