Mary Brown's Chicken — Restaurant in Whitby

I've been to Mary Browns many times and while most visits have been fine, today was something completely different and truly worth sharing.

I was helped by a cashier named Manal who completely transformed my experience. She greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism, something that immediately made the visit feel different. Without me even asking, she suggested that I could replace the taters or fries with a salad. I’ve been ordering salads separately for so long and had no idea this was even an option. That small suggestion made such a difference and showed how thoughtful and knowledgeable she is.

Her attitude, attention to detail, and the way she genuinely cares about each customer was exceptional. She made me feel seen and appreciated and I left with a smile on my face because of how I was treated, not just because of the food. It is rare to come across someone who turns a regular visit into something memorable.

To the manager reading this, I truly hope you appreciate what you have in Manal. Any place would be lucky to have someone like her. She sets a standard for what great customer service should look and feel like, and today she gave me the best experience I have ever had at...

My girlfriend and I came here late at night after her lacrosse practice… the sign on the front door said they closed in 40 minutes, but upon entering we were told they close in 10 and that the sign on the front door is wrong.

I work a retail job and I know how frustrating it is for customers to come in right before closing.. nevertheless a very sweet and friendly girl named Kalasia (I hope I spelt that correctly) served us with a smile. We hadn’t been to a Mary Brown’s in a while and she was very patient while we figured out what we wanted. After getting us our food, she thanked us and wished us a goodnight. We’ll definitely be coming back here, hopefully we’ll see this...

The food was prepared quickly but we're not sure we got half and half like we requested (half reg, half honey bbq). It tasted like we only got reg....If we did get half and half, the honey bbq pieces weren't seasoned enough for us to taste the flavouring.

Besides the slight issues with the chicken, the rest of the food was great and the service was amazing. Manal was very friendly and courteous... In fact, I don't think I've ever had bad service from the staff at this location. Clearly the owner has built a good team that focuses on providing good...
