First off, this place is a complete waste of money and unsure of food quality. Be very careful of what u order.
tried this place on a recommendation, man was i wrong, from the moment we ordered on the phone the person had no customer service skills what so ever, very rude and didnt seem to want to take an order.
after 20 minutes, we get to the restaurant for pickup and have to go to the back of the restaurant to find someone. on the back counter, all you see is dirty dishes piled up. The place was empty, so why are there dirty dishes where new food is packed and pickedup.
The lady seemed like she was bored and didn't care to be there, nor did she care about her appearance. being the face of the restaurant, how do you wear 1 glove ( yes 1 ) to touch money and pack up food, and pick up dirty plates.
now on to the food. what a joke. First off, each dish was 18 dollars. for 4 pieces of rock-hard microwaved chicken. we ordered butter chicken and kadai chicken. as this is our standard for any new restaurant we try. the size of the container was not 24oz like other places that was stike 3, the chicken was rocl hard and couldnt chew it. the kadai chicken sauce was very gritty and had so many carrom seeds,
Definity will never go back or ever recommend this place to anyone.
the owner or management should go to other locations and see how to run a restaurant, and hire some qualty chefs.
IN COMPLETE RESPONSE.
At the time of the orginal review, i have owned a restaurant. however, i love to support other restaurants. for you to try and turn this into a battle to save your restaurant. is uncalled for, and you should focus on quality and service.
my review was based on the food I received. and as you can see from the photos.
even after speaking to ur manager, he was aware that i owned a restaurant in the past and gave him constructive feedback, to which he agreed.
believe me in that with a response as to yours will not...
Read moreLately I've been sampling many Indian restaurants since I'm a big lover of Indian food being Indian myself and in the last two to three years I can honestly say there is no value for the money in any of these places MEHFIL is no exception. Last Sunday order takeout dinner for my family being a family of four I asked the attendant how many people is one meat entree good for( each entree was in the 18 to $20 range). She responded 2 people easily therefore I ordered four entrees assuming this would be enough for two meals. When we got home opened up the entrees that were packaged shocked to see that the amount of chicken meat in two of them was basically the equivalent of one drumstick each. .I alone could eat three pieces of chicken. My wife actually found an extra piece of Popeye chicken from a few nights before cut it up and put it into the sauce and that barely fed all four of us that night ( I kid you not!!) And this is what I have been experiencing all along. Indian restaurants love to hide what little quantity of meat they put in a sea of curry sauce so that you can't tell. The same was true for the lamb entree three pieces of small lamb. what a joke!! I paid close to $120 for this takeout which I assumed would last two days it was only barely enough for one meal. Needless to say there was a sea of curry sauce left over after that first night I then went got a whole bunch of chicken cubes, spice them myself, (because I am a good cook) and utilize the leftover sea of Curry for the next meal By the way the additional vegetable dishes we ordered were decent quantity but given that I am a carnivore at heart I am still seeking for that perfect Indian restaurant as a go-to All these five-star reviews, I assume, are posted by either vegetarians ,people with birdie stomachs, are those with no regard to...
Read moreI ordered Indo Chinese dishes for dine in today . My order had chicken lollipop , veg Manchurian dry , fried chicken momos , veg Hakka noodles and a cocktail named as jatt risky.
Frankly speaking the JATT RISKY cocktail was simply amazing . It’s so far my best cocktail I ever had in my life . Till now my fav cocktail was Long Island. But jatt risky was simply fabulous. So kudos to the cocktail who made it. M gonna come back again due to this cocktail .
Now switching to food. I would like to advise that if u serve noodles before the appetizers ,it doesn’t look good. Your noodle will half fill the customer and then your appetizers will not find its place.
The crisp coating of the fried Momo was lacking seasoning . Although u tried to compensate with sprinkling some pink salt externally but still I could feel the seasoning miss. Plus the chicken was not tender and juicy inside. Unfortunately we did not enjoy it.
Veg Manchurian balls we ordered were dry. But it was served initially with gravy. Then we told that we ordered dry. Then they tried to make it dry. But truly it felt like they took out the veg Manchurian balls from that plate and kept it on another plate to remove the gravy. Due to which the actually crispness of the veg Manchurian balls got lost . Plus the filling inside and the outside was undercooked . Could feel the corn starch or whatever binding u used, was under cooked .
Chicken lollipop again lacked seasoning . Without the geeen chutney it was not tasting good .
Noodle was ok . But not that great . It was sticky . Ideally they are suppose to be little separate.
Overall indo Chinese experience was not good. But nevertheless ,I would still come next time to try traditional Indian main courses . As 1 specific domain cannot rate the full experience of...
