First time there when we decided to meet half way with friends from Lindsay. Checked out the menu online and liked the "home cooked" label on everything so opted to try it out.

The restaurant was an extension of a bakery/kitchen so there were not a lot of inside tables. A beautiful day led to us going out on the patio where everything was appropriately spaced....again leaving only about 6 tables, but there was nice setting for four in the middle and we took it

The lunch menu was simple selection of all the favourites....soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers. Lots of choices made it difficult but we each tried something different. Two of us had the homemade soup of the day (Beef/Barley), two of had two different burgers, one deli sandwich and one had the well known Rustic Grilled Chicken Salad. Service was prompt and efficient.

The vote? Everything was as advertised! Fresh... hot... homemade... terrific. Soup was wonderful, deli sandwich and burgers delicious and filling, the rustic chicken salad was a hit... even the sides were better than most. Such a good time deserved a dessert so a couple of shared pies with coffee later and we were all truly satisfied. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

Not a large place with no reservations, so pick a date and time and head there for a good...

Saw a great review for this restaurant on Facebook so I decided to order. I ordered 3 lasagnas and chicken strips with fries. Was a little on the pricey side for what you get. But I was optimistic and was hoping the good would reflect the price you pay for it. Got home and opened one of the lasagnas and immediately noticed something was off. The lasagna smelt like an ash tray or like it was extremely burnt..only it was not burnt. Even tasted like it smelt. I couldn’t eat it, as it made me have a gross taste in my mouth. I feel really bad posting a bad review for a local business but I was very disappointed. Was hoping to have a nice Father’s Day dinner but instead had very expensive bread.

UPDATE** Received an email from Kelly in response to my review. She indicated that she spoken with the cook and knew exactly what went wrong. She apologized and had asked me to give the lasagna a second try on them. I was happy to see a response from them saying they looked into it. We took them up on the offer to try it again and it was fantastic! We added a small pizza to try it out for next time. It was awesome as well. We will be back for sure. Great...

We came across Michael Kelly’s after seeing it highly recommended in a local foodie Facebook group as one of the best pizza spots near Oshawa, located in Brooklyn. Naturally, we had to give it a try, we ordered delivery!

We ordered two build-your-own extra large pizzas, one plain cheese pizza and another topped with feta cheese. Both were absolutely excellent. The crust was perfectly baked, crisp yet soft, and the cheese had that rich, satisfying flavor that you expect from a high quality pizzeria. It definitely lived up to its reputation.

My wife and kids loved it too, it was one of those meals where everyone was happy, which says a lot!

I didn’t try any of the meat toppings because I wasn’t sure of they are halal, and I know many customers in the area would appreciate that clarification. It would be a big plus and make the menu more inclusive for everyone if they have halal food.

All in all, Michael Kelly’s truly delivers when it comes to authentic, flavorful pizza. It’s a great family friendly spot, and we’ll definitely be returning for more of their delicious,...

Impressed with the friendliness of the owner Amin along with his staff. It's one reason I left Toronto to find a more inclusive familial feeling. I was a bit worried about getting a deep dish as I normally eat thin crust. He convinced me to try it. I was pleasantly surprised by the light texture and perfect crunch when taking each bite of my Pizza. Normally I am underwhelmed by the amount of toppings. Not tonight - there was an abundance of bacon pepperoni and pineapple. I was very happy. Cheese/sauce ratio also excellent. Butter Tarts are a must buy to take home for a sweet snack. Not too runny and perfect crust. I'm impressed and plan to try more on the menu now that we've moved to the neighborhood. If you are looking for fancy this is not the place. If you want a comfy home style feeling - come on down. You won't be disappointed.

Ordered a couple of take out Chicken Souvlaki Dinners back in early May about 45 minutes before they closed. Picked up at 7:45 (close at 8) and took them home. I had not been there in years but they were as polite as I remember them. At home i opened the dinners and first thing I noticed was no Tzatziki. Souvlaki without Tzatziki? oh well. Next thing i noticed was the peas and potatoes were not fresh. it seemed they had been sitting. Since the closed 15 minutes before pickup UI guess I got was had been sitting around for a while. The souvlaki was 'ok' and so was the salad (not real greek salad) but overall it is something I would not order again. No interest in going back.
