I want to start by saying that I’ve never written a negative review before. I completely understand that everyone has off days and that customer service work can be challenging. That said, the experience I had today was truly disappointing and, frankly, the worst service I’ve ever received.
I visited the location on May 16th between approximately 12:00 and 3:00 PM. The two women working during that time were noticeably rude, condescending, and dismissive. The portion sizes were unusually small—which I could overlook—but I wasn’t even able to finish requesting my sauces before my bowl was handed over and I was directed to pay. It felt rushed and impersonal.
When I asked if I could fill my water bottle—something I understand may not be allowed—I was completely ignored. When I politely repeated the question, I was met with a passive-aggressive response that made the interaction feel unnecessarily hostile.
While eating my food and debating whether to share this experience, I witnessed another troubling interaction. A gentleman came in to order a sandwich. After he didn’t hear the employee ask if he wanted it toasted—twice—she raised her voice and yelled “TOASTED?!” at him. He was understandably taken aback by her tone.
I’m genuinely sorry if others have had to endure similar behaviour. What was once a place I enjoyed has become uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I would love to give the employees the benefit of the doubt, but if this is representative of the usual service, I would rather not return.

Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. Went in with a coupon today, upon arriving I immediately showed the cashier the coupon and asked if I could use it and she said yes. At checkout she tells me that the coupon can only be used online. I was confused as I use these coupons regularly and have never been told this. I asked her where on the coupon it said that as I thought I had made a mistake however it did not specify it anywhere. She then points at the coupon and tries to tell me it says it which it clearly did not. She continues to argue with me and then tells me she cannot use it. I let her know I will not be taking the sub as I only went in because I had a coupon. She then begins to raise her voice at me saying “I already made it, you have to pay for it” I told her I will not be paying for it as I was already told I could use the coupon before the sandwich was made. Clearly annoyed she then discounts it. When handing me my change she aggressively slammed it down on the counter and walked away continuing to raise her voice telling me I’m wrong. I placed an order to pick up from Markham restaurant (9830 Markham Road, Markham) and was not issued receipt. I did have an email order confirmation but it did not have the Store Number, the TERM ID information that required to be input online for the missing points. I called the restaurant and the staff provided me the number but not what the same format the online form required. Therefore it is wasting my time. As well, the restaurant did not know about the TERM ID from the Receipt. Without my receipt on my order, how I can submit the claim for missing points? SUBWAY Management, you advise me please? I hope there is a guest service phone number like McDonalds offer to customer to reach out for assistance from Subway, but, this is non existence and not available at all. Please advise me, should I go to the store just to ask for the receipt?
