Discouraging Anniversary Experience Met by the hostess/manager? who seated us at a table directly in front of two toilets and the kitchen. We asked her if we could be seated elsewhere and she abruptly replied “no” that the other room would be hot. We decided to leave and she agreed to move us to the other room. We were silently reading the menu when she approached again and stated that we would not be allowed to move again. We were confused by her confrontational attitude and my husband politely said that we were just fine. We selected our meals and the waitress told us that we were accidentally given the wrong outdated menu and that we were going to have to select another meal from a new menu. We complied, the halibut was very good, vegetables under cooked and we finished and asked for our bill. We were taking a photo and the hostess/manager? offered to take one for our anniversary. As we were getting ready to pay the bill, she came by and asked us if we would like a dessert to go and suggested several. We chose a piece of berry pie. She brought it in a container and told us Happy Anniversary. The waitress asked us about the container and added $12.95 to our bill for one piece of pie. We were surprised, but just paid the bill of over $100 and left. When we arrived at home and opened the container, there was a very small piece of pie with very little filling—barely a tablespoon for almost...

This was our first time - we expected the wait outside - it was a beautiful night filled with people to watch so that was fine! The inside is a cute house crossed with a tent type thing - the tent in the back area has two fans but was still quite warm. This was decorated super cute, and there was no shortage of staff around! Some of the things I felt were kind of pricey but this was our first Whitehorse restaurant experience so it could be good for the are.

I had the Elk stroganoff and IT WAS AMAZING. The meat was so tender, the sauce and mushrooms - delicious! At our table was also the artic char fish dish - which was apparently delicious but he'd get he fish and chips. And the spaghetti and meat balls - which was actually fetachinni with meat balls.

Kids menu seemed high - but apparently came with an ice cream scoop! (We passed for this time).

The owner is from Saskatchewan and you can tell with a little bit of Saskatchewan Flair, Drake Bacon, and pilsner beer were on the menu! The bacon comes with this Yukon caramel BBQ sauce and is delicious! The appetizer has 5 pieces.

This would be a must stop, must come...

The staff were all great and moving around like busy bees, but still taking time to check on your satisfaction with your meal. They made me feel very welcomed with great smiles. The ambiance was very interesting, almost like a bar chatter, but travel family restaurant look. There were lots of old artifacts from tree saws to snow shoes on the ceiling and walls.

I had the elk stroganoff. I have never had stroganoff before, so not sure if it is the way it should be. The mashed potatoes were a bit on the chill side with the rest of the food being warm, but not hot, which is odd since it is served on a skillet. The elk meat was very lean and had some chew. Some pieces were more tender than others. The of focaccia bread with galic infused olive oil was very pleasant. Had some softness and chew to it. The caesar salad served before the entree was very good, not sure why it was all romaine lettuce with some parmesan cheese and a dressing. I added the lemon to it and it blew my tastebuds for some reason.

I almost went with the ribs and salmon, but I'd probably try that if...
