Find this place! Quaint little restaurant. Only 8 tables. Licensed premises. Greeted enthusiastically by the owner?? Very attentive and quick service.
Freshest gyoza I have ever had (and I have had a lot!). Similarly, I never knew chow mein was supposed to taste this fresh.
Enjoyed the won ton soup as well. the vegetables were steamed perfectly, not overcooked and again - amazingly fresh. Loaded with won tons. Broth mild and not overly salty or "fishy".
Everything, including the sauces, are homemade.
Good portions for all servings. Could hear a "happy" kitchen going on while I ate (this is a small place). Very reasonable prices. Even though out of the way, had local traffic on a Wednesday during dinner. Don't expect the typical big Chinese food menu, which is a good thing.
This place is on my list of the very few quality restaurants in Williams Lake! Will be...

Unfortunately the things I ordered were disappointing: The Mexican wrap was pretty sawdust-y. Salt made it edible. The daily soup (a "cream" of vegetable) was bland, and the salt did not help. The grilled cheese was almost burnt, and the bitter charring of the bread overwhelmed any flavour the small amount of cheese might have provided. The side salad was drenched in grocery-store maybe-balsamic vinaigrette, rendering it inedible.
I will be back - the home-made iced tea and the coffee was good - but I'll be eating something different, with low expectations.
UPDATE: went in for breakfast this morning, and had one of the best eggs Benny ever! Their version with local smoked salmon is excellent....
Read moreDeciding to visit WL for the annual medieval market we stopped here first after the drive. It was busy but the staff were attentive and ready to get us seated and dated.
Not able to make up my mind the server suggested the BLT and I figured it's a safe bet usually.
It shows up and I actually swore, remarking on the massive size of the thing. This actually gave me the initial impression that I was going to be disappointed, until I looked closer. The thick slices of bread looked house made, it was full, I mean, Ron Swanson levels full of bacon... And good bacon, clearly not supermarket stuff.
I'll admit I only managed to get half finished, the other half barely fit into the carry out container.
Go hungry or share and don't forget to order a hot buttered rum, which is the best one I've...
