Denny's — Restaurant in Windermere

the biggest complaint i can make about this place is the service. at one point, my table of two went over an hour without our server coming to the table. service was very very slow, making us wait for over ten minutes for drinks, thirty-ish minutes for food, and asking us to wait at the front of the store for over ten minutes to pay the bill. the 16oz beers we were charged for were only 12oz, they were the wrong beers being served (asking for a kronenbourg wheat beer got you a sea change wolf and vice versa) and the waitress would only serve each individual one beer an hour despite the legal limit being 2 per hour as per the AGLC. i don’t think i have ever had worse service and i was forced to pay an 8 person table gratuity fee despite only having 7 people total at the table at any time i was there. the waitress didn’t know what beers were on tap despite there being advertising for it all around the store. we couldn’t get waters, coffee refills, or place food orders without waiting a minimum of 30 minutes between each visit from the waitress. absolutely terrible time and i wouldn’t recommend anyone else goes there.

edit - i had paid my bill and left before the rest of my table did. i wrote this review while the rest of my table was still there and after it was posted, the waitress went back over to the table and complained about my review? what kind of place is this? in what world would you do that? considering that she only visited the table three times over the course of three hours i probably did them a favour and got them their next...

Mehakpreet was very dedicated patient polite without standing service. I was studying, so she knew when to come when to not come, and she constantly filled my water and water as well as my refills and when I ordered new orders, she was very diligent and always asked me how my food was tasting. She went above and beyond service. She was so wonderful and delightful and very respectful. I will definitely come back to this location again first time didn’t know you were in WINDERMERE close by my house in Riverbend. The atmosphere Was appeasing and amazing very cosy and had a lot of plugs which I got to use my iPad computer and my phone. The bathrooms were incredibly clean. The food was amazing. The chef was amazing. I was treated with white glove service. I felt like family. Will be dealt definitely coming back with my family friends loved ones business partners, and close friends. It was quiet, And had enough TVs if you wanted to watch the games. Mehakpreet Was very professional, kind, caring, loving, and very affectionate. She was fast, efficient and effective. I don’t usually leave reviews, but the service we received today truly deserves recognition. From the moment we were seated, our server NOERILYN stood out,not just to us, but to everyone in the room. She was incredibly fast, attentive, and seemed to be everywhere at once without ever seeming rushed or flustered. What really amazed me was how often guests from other tables would stop her as she passed by, asking for this or that and she handled every request with total grace and professionalism. What’s even more impressive is that she remembered everything, never missed a beat, and always came back with exactly what was asked for, all while wearing a warm, genuine smile. Despite how busy the place was, she made sure to check in on our table frequently, always at just the right time—not too much, not too little. It felt like she was somehow always nearby when we needed something, even without asking. That kind of awareness is rare and shows just how experienced and passionate she is about what she does. It’s one thing to get your order right, but it’s another to make a guest feel seen and taken care of in the middle of a packed restaurant. She absolutely nailed it. The energy, the hustle, the attention to detail,she brought all of that and more, creating a genuinely welcoming and positive dining experience.
