Our original plan was to visit the Micro Brewery next door to this pub first but it is closed on Monday's. So we headed into the Spitfire Arms and had a few drinks before ordering food. They have a beer made exclusively for them by another brewery in the area (see picture) and I found it to be exceptional. If you ask they have cans at the bar you can buy for take away. Glad I did this as we did visit the Brewery the next day and they don't even have this available at their location. We ordered the Fries as a starter (see picture), they season each one with a different spice and paired with a sauce. It's a great item to order if you just want something small or are looking for something to snack on before ordering the main course. Supper was very good. I ordered the Curry which came with your choice of 3 different curries with rice and naan bread. The beer selection includes a variety of local breweries including some from the location next door. The waitress was very attentive and always followed up with us on a regular basis even though we were there for around 3 hours. On a Monday it's one of the few sit down restaurant options that is open, our plan was to go here in any case but you won't be disappointed if you choose to come here.

A group of us decided to see if we could get in for a quick dinner on our way back to the city from a day in the Valley. We were seated quickly at a table within the covered alleyway which is a great space. First thing we noticed - sides are no longer included with most mains on the menu. Ok... good to keep in mind while ordering. Food came and looked good but was only ok. Big Ben Burger came as a pre-packaged, previously frozen patty which was underwhelming considering it was a $10 burger. The $5 handful of fries were tasteless and limp while the $7.50 side of parmesan fries my friends ordered was literally three times the amount of fries in a bowl which we found funny. Vegetables with the mains were perfectly steamed. Fish was tiny but good - worth getting the second piece otherwise you will leave hungry. The steak was ordered to be medium but was cooked well beyond that but friend figured it wasn't worth the hassle to send it back. The food filled the void but was not a great dining experience.

I’ve been to Spitfire Arms Alehouse several times and keep coming back for the burger—it’s consistently solid. On this visit, I sat on the patio, which was busy but comfortable thanks to the nice weather. As usual, the service was fast and friendly, and seating was quick despite the crowd. There’s plenty of parking nearby, which makes things easy. The burger this time seemed to have slightly less flavour than usual, though still enjoyable. I added bacon and cheese, which were delicious but came at a steeper price—$2 each—which feels a bit above average for similar spots. The fries, as always, were excellent: thick-cut with a perfect crisp. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. One suggestion—I’d love to see the Burger Wars burger featured on the regular menu. It was a standout and deserves a permanent spot! Or regularly having a featured burger of the month or week keeps things interesting! Overall, still a great spot for a casual bite in Windsor.

After a gruelling Apple Blossom parade, went here with my band for a late lunch. Another member made the reservation but kept them advised of numbers and they had told us we would be outside, in a heated, covered courtyard. Now the weather wasn’t the greatest, and we were a little worried, but I can honestly say, it was great. The patio heaters worked great and we weren’t cold in the slightest, so don’t be afraid if they offer to stick you in this spot. We were a large party (about 15 people) but the service was top notch - we had about three different servers at various times, but no one waited for a refill or the bill. Some of the dishes we had included the steak and Guinness hot pie, Rueben sandwich, a quesadilla with chicken and side spinach salad, and some beautiful desserts / blueberry crumble cheesecake (a little heavy on the cinnamon, but still Delish) a blueberry bread pudding in caramel sauce and a chocolate cake with cream. I had a vodka soda with my quesadilla and salad and dessert and I gave the server a $50 which covered it all plus tax and tip, so good value. I recommend this place, it’s...
