Aaltos Garden City — Restaurant in Winnipeg

It was AWFUL. 7 adults 2 children(7&3). Arrived 6:30pm. Drink orders taken & served quickly. Food order taken then everything stopped...3 of us served in due time, 20min later 2 more served, 15min 1 more, another 7-10min 1 more. Children's order of 1 kids pizza & 1 mac/cheese served 12 minutes later. We are so disappointed and upset. Usually kids meals first and the rest fairly quickly after. We did not pay for the children's orders and they took off all the beverages. No alcohol served. The servers said the had a new cook...we told them to get rid of him, organized or assistants. No tip either. Will...

I often come here for the lunch buffet — it always exceeds expectations with a great selection and good quality food, especially for around $20. But the dinner buffet was disappointing. I’ve tried it twice, and both times the selection was small, not very fresh, and noticeably more expensive. I tried a bit of everything, but ended up only eating the prime rib — the highlight of the buffet — and some salad. Service was fast, which I appreciated, but at that price, the dinner just isn’t worth the time...

I come here for breakfast, it's a good price and relatively quiet. The only problem is the waiter. He has a horrible habit of reaching across in front of you to grab your plate and particularly when I'm not finished with it. Poor manners and bloody annoying. Is the kitchen is so hard up for dishes? Why can't you wait until the customer is finished their meal? Or try ASKING if you can take the plate! Don't just go reaching across in front and over the customer's...
