Baker's Bowl Bakeshop — Restaurant in Winnipeg

My father ordered a cake for Mother's Day on Thursday (3 days before pick up) and when he came to pick up the cake on Sunday, the cake was not ready to be picked up/no where to be seen. Bakers Bowl admitted they forgot to write down the order. They instead offered a different cake - which was actually the DISPLAY cake (that was smaller and a different flavour from what he originally ordered). They refunded the difference between the two cakes which was nice, but did not offer any other discount or compensation for their mistake. They did not seem apologetic at all. And instead took advantage of the situation (by selling a different cake) and my father as he wasn't visibility upset in the moment. I ordered a customized cake for our wedding/gender reveal. The owner was really accommodating with our vision. She even explained to us the different kinds of cake as we weren’t sure what to get and she was knowledgeable and suggested stuff that was appropriate for the reception situation. We had a taste test as a bonus. We got the mocha flavor for the sponge and white fondant. The gender reveal cake with pull out surprise was amazing and was fun to do.
