Experience here was very poor, in both food and customer service. We were greeted and immediately asked to remove our shoes as we decided to sit in their more authentic seating area to eat, but we noticed that other people eating there were not asked to take off their shoes and they were already seated there? Their carpets are wet, dirty, and sticky. My friend and I were both wearing sandals and flip flops so for us to walk on their floor barefoot was disgusting. Also they never asked or bothered to mention the all you can eat special they have from 11:30am-8:30pm everyday and processed to give us a regular menu. When the waitress came back after 20 minutes of us waiting we told her we were here for the all you can eat. She then gave us a smaller menu and took away the normal ones and left us to decide again for another 10-15 minutes. After we gave her our order, my friend decided to also add 1 taro bubble tea to the order, but the waitress had a stunned look on her face and was puzzled to hear that, as if she didnt even know the restaurant made bubble tea. She then told us "uhm...no we cannot make that for you it takes too long to make we are too busy." There were only 2 other tables with people there. Both of which already had their food and were eating and left within 15 minutes. We were confused but let this slide. But it gets worse. The waitress gives us an order of edamame she tells us to enjoy (assuming its complementary for the lack of bubble tea) and my friends and I dig in. Halfway through the edamame the waitress comes back and tells us "sorry this isn't yours" and takes the whole bowl away. Why take it back if we've already touched it?? Were you planning on giving it back to the table who actually ordered it?? That's just plain rude. We got the rest of our orders and the sushi was rushed and falling apart. Also everything with fish eggs on it has a weird consistency where they mixed the fish eggs with mayo prior to putting it on the sushi which gave it a very off taste. We also asked for green tea mid meal and never received it after 30 or so mins of waiting. Eventually we spoke to another waitress and asked her to cancel our green tea order as we were already ready to go. Will not be...
Read moreI had given this restaurant so much chance. Once I went on Tuesday for their sushi half price. Took them more than 30 minutes to serve us. When I asked after 30 minutes of waiting the waitress told us that they are busy with a huge group. I mentioned that we came before the huge group and the response was "since you are having the half priced sushi, you are not the priority". How long does it take to make 7 nigiri? I didnt go there for a long time after that.
When I went again, it was ok, so I regularly went again until I asked for a specific request on my poke bowl. Their poke bowl can get salty due to the sauce. So I was able to control the salt by requesting for the sauce to be put in a different container so that I can gauge myself.
I have been doing this regularly for about 4/5 times dining in and take out. My last visit, I asked for the sauce to be separated, I was turned down. When I said, I have been doing this for a while, the server checked with the owner. The owner told me he is the owner and he has never allowed it. So he didnt know why his staff has been doing it.
I seriously did not understand the difficulty why they cannot separate the sauce. Could be a language barrier but I have repeated and tried to explain in a different way and yet still the owner refused. Reminding me he is the owner and he will not allow it.
When a server is rude to me, sometimes I just blame it on the actual server for not having the skills or the management for not training well. But if the owner is not flexible, to a regular customer, I had enough.
I have given them so much chances and their food is not even to die for. I just go there for convenience. Close by and I can pass by when I do my groceries. I stopped bringing friends there and would not recommend. There are other better Korean...
Read moreCame here for the first time while in the area. Didn’t know what to expect. Was surprised that they’re not busy on a Friday lunch time. Here are my thoughts-First off, customer service definitely needs an improvement. The lady server looks like having a bad day. So I just hoped that food will not disappoint me…. So here comes the food- We had fried chicken and bulgogi. The fried chicken was really tasty closed to what we had in Korea. The bulgogi came with a cup of rice and 2 traditional appetizers. It was really good. We even had left overs which justified the amount of what we spent. In my head this restaurant deserves a 5 star rating despite of the grouchy staff. However, after seeing the washroom to wash my hands, I got shocked, as it was really dirty, it looks like they haven’t cleaned it for a while. It made me wonder if they can’t clean the washroom, how does the kitchen look like? And how clean is their food prep? When I also saw their sink by the counter it also looked messy in there. Suddenly it turned me off. Having said that, I enjoyed their food but it’s giving me doubts if I should eat there again. The dining area also needs some love and thorough cleaning. I hope they will improve that and their customer service. They matter too, not...
