Chicken Delight | McPhillips St. — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Although this place specializes in chicken, please do not overlook the fact that they make an unbelievably delicious and high-quality pizza as well.  In my opinion, this location has been in operation for many decades because they continue to deliver on their promise of "delight."  In fact, this location was where I had a pizza for the very first time after moving to Canada from - what was at the time - communist USSR approximately 30 years ago, and I still remember the amazing experience.  Having ordered a pizza (the good old-fashioned pep and mushroom) from this location the other day brought me right back to one of my best childhood experiences of having my very first pizza!  I am glad it was Chicken Delight as it is just as good as back then when I was a child. The quality and flavours are amazing as they were many decades ago!  Give them a try and ask them how long they have been in this location - I believe it was something like more than 50 years! This kind of longevity in our competitive Winnipeg market is nothing short of impressive but the reason is obvious.

Also, the convenience of picking up your pizza order right from the drive-through window without having to go inside in person is a definite bonus, especially during the time of the pandemic.  Thank you, Chicken Delight, we will be...

The worst experience for the 3rd time. Always the same.extremely RUDE female. I wouldn't call her a lady with her really terrible attitude. 1st time I just ignored the rude behavior. I asked for fresh wings and they were old cold and dried out. 2nd time I was firm in asking for fresh wings. She got mad and gave me attitude and argued with me. I got them and swore I'd never go there again. 3rd time, thot maybe they just had bad day staff & I'd give them another chance. Nope. Appears it's the management. I asked to add extra peices of chicken to my order and she said no I can't do that. I said I've been able to do that before and she told me no. When I asked for fresh chicken she also said no. Haha. I asked for my money back and drove 20 mins to the one I usually go to and NO problem. NEVER ever again. There was nobody in dribe-thru either. Its interesting they would tell me no you can't buy more and no you can't have fresh food How can you give a -5 rating. When I asked initially she replied 'Oh God' vedy annoyed. I don't need that when Im giving my business. Lol Never again. Chances over. I'm shocked at the continually...

THANKS TO MANAGEMENT FOR RECTIFYING SITUATION. 😃 Added another star. Chicken has improved greatly!! Keep it up, I HATE complaining. All I wanted was the crunchy, juicy chicken from the days when my Dad delivered from one of their locations moons ago. For awhile, their dark meat chicken was okay. Unfortunately, once again/was Winnipeg's WORST FRIED CHICKEN!!! ( received a complementary 10 pc dinner and it was VERY good 😋!!) Asked for dark meat only, received white meat and wings. Legs looked more like drummettes. Tasted like it was put back in the deep fryer to be reheated. In fact, my Mum boiled it to make it edible. Spent over 60.00 as well. Felt cheated. Reason for 2 stars was that: Their SAVING GRACE was their pizza which was hot, fresh, and YUMMY!! Their Coleslaw and Potato Salad were also very good, and so were the dinner rolls. 😢 because their CHICKEN should be their star dish 😢. Guess I'm stuck looking online watching Chopped episodes to figure out what to do with soggy fried chicken other than boiling it 😝. WILL NEVER EVER BUY THEIR...
