Chicken Delight | Regent Ave W — Restaurant in Winnipeg

If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered a simple poutine. I asked for half the gravy from the lady behind the counter. I got double the gravy, not noticing until I got home so I went back; asking for cheese covered fries and a side of gravy instead. He brought up saying "Whats wrong with it?" I said "Thats not a poutine. Poutine gravy flows over the fries and cheese, not sinking to the bottom. If your customers like it, okay." I said "But I, personally do not." He turned and started talking to the lady and I interrupted saying nevermind, I'll just take a refund. HE REFUSED MY REFUND so I asked to speak to the manager and he YELLED at me "I'M THE MANAGER" (really yelled in my face) then I said I'll contact the better business bureau and I will.. I know what I ordered. He said it wasn't what I ordered. Pretty sure I know what I ordered. Another customer walks in at this point, his whole demeanor changed. Instantly calm, as if it didn't even happen. So what if that customer was in the store the whole time?! Would I have been treated differently?! That's just wrong.

Oh and our pound of dry ribs we ordered, were just that, withered and dry.

Severely disappointed with the customer treatment of this establishment. You'll be hearing from me....

This Chicken Delight location is the absolute BEST! I called the night before to place an order to be picked up first thing in the morning. The owner’s son took the order and was very professional, respectful and thorough. He said he would call his father immediately to make sure my order would be ready as requested. My order was hot and ready when I arrived at 10:30am. The owner was very kind and friendly. He said his wife wouldn’t let him sleep in because he had to get up early to prepare my food! When I mentioned I was taking this food one and a half hrs out of the city to my parents for an early Mother’s Day lunch, he threw in a mini cheesecake for dessert! At 12:30, the food was still quite warm! The chicken was delicious, the fries were crispy yet not overdone, and the gravy was very tasty. We were tickled pink to find an extra drumstick in the box because the drumsticks were on the small side. We ordered over $70 of food….the chicken was dried out and over cooked, the fries were undercooked and soggy, the gravy was completely cold, and the pizza had a very sour/spoiled taste to it AND the crust was burnt……I’m not usually the type of person to complain about food but every single item in our order (besides the 2L pop) was beyond horrible and completely inedible. After calling and talking to someone about it, all they offered was a free pizza and refused to do anything else despite the fact that our entire order was not even edible and complete garbage (which is where the food ended up because even our dogs wouldn’t touch it)

And don’t even get me started on the feathers still attached to some of the chicken pieces in our order!

Clearly the owners don’t bother with quality control and don’t want to keep their customers around. Absolutely disappointed and disgusted by this location and its lack of good...
