Cora — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Ordered Cora’s from skip (skip was great). Got a phone call from Cora’s saying they forgot the French toast and were going to drop it off, amazing! Gave them the address and unit number of the condo, as well as my cell to call or text when they arrive. Also offered to meet on the street as it can be confusing. 30 minutes later after I finished the rest of my breakfast,I still hadn’t heard anything or gotten my French toast (I checked the door). So, I call Cora’s and they say they made a mistake and dropped it off at 54 instead of 45 which is the next unit over and if I just walk over I’ll find it. I found this extremely unprofessional. There was no offer for a voucher for next time, to drop off warm fresh French toast or anything. First off the main item of my breakfast was forgotten but I was okay as they were driving it over but then to drop it off at the wrong door and 30 minutes later when I call and the food is cold by then I get told to just walk over and pick it up (How do they know someone didn’t take it by that point). Took over 10 minutes to have our server come and it was not busy. I'd say 10 tables max. We asked for our toddlers food to come out sooner as it takes a while to feed him it came out a few minutes after ours and it was only one piece of French toast. I didn't receive my toast with my breakfast until 5 minutes after given everything else by than my eggs were cold. The potatoes were hard as a rock barely even cooked what so ever. The bacon was nothing more than 5 second bacon. I sent my meal back and I will never return there. Maybe concentrate less on the presentation of the fruit you put on my plate that I probably won't eat anyway and spend more time ensuring everything else is done properly. A good breakfast place. A good coffee, with some good breakfast, that is all one needs to have a good day and this place provides it you. Their prices are really genuine nothing is over inflated. Plus they have a huge selection of things from crepes, pancakes, burritos and even sandwiches. Really loved the menu includes healthy choices like fruits in things a lot of them. And also, have vegetarian options. The place is designed in a way that it's a really soothing atmosphere. Great customer service, really makes you feel like you are welcomed. I tried their French toast, pancakes with a cappuccino, loved it. Just don't see the appeal for cinnamon on some of the things. But well all in all it's really good. A must try and would love to try more things...
