My wife and I grew up in the area and both of us had relatives work at the Phone offices. Though the place is legendary we have never actually gone there. So for our wedding anniversary (43rd) we decided to try it out. Convenient parking at the back was nice, although there is also some parking on the side streets. I went basic, plain hamburger and chocolate milkshake and my wife had the Greek Burger and a banana milkshake, and we shared an order of fries and rings. Total about $50.00, not really cheap but very much in line with current prices at similar establishments. The plain burger was a bit plain. Good serving of meat, not over salty, basic condiments, a solid standard burger. The shake was very nice, not overly sugary with a nice chocolate flavour. I tried the Greek burger and preferred it to my plain burger, particularly the tzaiki (sp ??) was a pleasant surprise. I'm not fond of fruity milkshake so all I could say is nice consistency. The rings were interesting, as both of us thought that the A&W rings tasted a bit better, but we both preferred the texture of the Daly Burger rings. The fries were excellent and more than we could eat, I had some of them with a light lunch the next day, and breakfast the day after. Both times they were nice reheated. We went early evening/late afternoon and were the only ones there, but the place soon filled up, a lot of regulars obviously, based on the greetings overheard, and although it never got crowded it was pretty busy. The ambiance was pretty much small burger joint. Most of the decorations were European football (soccer ) related, but the eating area is otherwise plain and utilitarian. It was also clean and comfortable and the tables and chairs were right out of the 60's. Located on Corydon at Daly, the #18 bus stops right outside the door so easy access by car or bus, although most of the people I saw visit it likely simply walked from nearby. If I was in the area and feeling peckish, I would certainly go there for some of the other fare on the menu, especially the...

I have been coming here since 1998 and have always loved their burgers. Moved away but whenever I'm back in town, I always stop in as I crave their deluxe double cheese burgers soo much! Their online hours were confusing so I stopped in hoping they'd be open. They are closed until January 4th and I leave the 2nd. Booo but I get it. When I'm back in in town in March I will make sure to stop in to hit my cravings!

UPDATE* Finally got back here this summer! Their menu is much the same, as is their amazing quality of food. Ordered my favorite, Double Deluxe Cheese Burger with no tomato and extra pickles. Got some fries and a pop too. Waiting the few minutes for my food had me salivating as I have been waiting to have one of these burgers in soo long. Our food was served hot and I was soo excited to sink my teeth into these patties. The burger is served with a meaty sauce and I make sure not to wear any jewelry so that none of the sauce will get on it. I made some in a happy noises as I devoured this burger. And the fries are amazing too. Beyond happy to have one of these and I might go back again for another before I head back out as I love them soo much. I've such great memories eating here while I...

UPDATE I STAND CORRECTED on the safety measures that have been taken here & truly appreciate the owner's response. As this was my 1st time in Daly Burgers, I didn't notice/realize these things & in no way would want my review to have any negative impact on this business as I truly believe that now, more than ever, we need to support the smaller/local businesses 2 try & help them survive these difficult days... (so much so that I've had their food again... but this time @ home😁!)

Food is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. Prices are GREAT (deluxe burger w/works, lots of yummy fries & can drink $10ish) staff is incredibly friendly & it looks pretty clean inside! ONLY area of concern is the staff doesn't wear masks, there is no sign of a sanitizing station or any effort to clean surfaces between customers from what I noticed. Makes me wonder if there are ANY measures they are taking to keep staff (as well as customers) safe. Sadly, that may deter me from getting food from there again...

COVID has kept us away; now what a delight to sit in and enjoy bacon cheeseburgers & fries with my grandson. It started with an enjoyable football chat due to my Newcastle United scarf, and ended with Winnipeg's classic, but often rarely found, double-fried chips and a loaded burger for each of us. Chili is awesome; the pickle is exactly what it ought to be; the bacon and patty are real: the taste makes me wonder why others choose national and international burger places. The fries are what they ought to be: blanched, and then deep-fried to crispy outside but soft inside. Perfect. There has been enough local support to keep DB open during the past two years. It's now time to fill the place.
