Fatburger is a relatively recent addition locally, though they've been around for a good while elsewhere. As the name implies, their specialty is burgers...BIG burgers. The usual sides like fries and chicken wings are also in tow, and those you can also get a big helping of as well. There's a lot of variety of burgers to pick from, and you can have them lettuce-wrapped too if you want and/or need it. Pricing is about comparable to Five Guys, but just like there you'll find that you get your money's worth. Orders are announced to the rest of the kitchen Gordon Ramsay style where they repeat what they hear back to the cashier, a nice touch that many may not fully appreciate if they haven't watched a show of his. This location has a few TVs, at least one of which will be pretty much permanently on The Weather Network. One thing I've noticed is that they're pretty particular about ketchup; they'd rather you didn't pump exactly what you feel you would need and instead say that they'll bring it out to you. I find that a bit odd seeing as many other places let people take what they need and not seem to have a problem. I'm not much of a ketchup fan myself, though if you are you'll love that the Heinz packets are also big, about 2 or 3 typical size packets elsewhere jammed into 1 big square one here. Definitely enough that you could start making your own remanufactured bottles with whatever extra packets you have left over. Both this location and the Seasons of Tuxedo one also have SkipTheDishes delivery, and I haven't had an issue with ordering from this one. The one thing I did notice with the burgers is that there's no option on their Skip page for the burgers to have them lettuce-wrapped. Sure, you could say "please prepare with a lettuce-wrap" in the special instructions, though I'd much rather have the assurance of selecting it as an option much like how Five Guys has it set up with their Skip page. Definitely do give Fatburger a go, as their many options ensures that there's something for everyone. Be sure to pick up their "Big Fat Club Card" too, where you can get an item free...
Read moreThis place is horrible, racist against Black folks. I encourage everyone in my circle or my network not to go that restaurant ( 1524 Regent Ave W, Winnipeg, MB R2C 3B4) And I encourage everyone not to experience what I just experienced. I came with my 4 year son. I ordered to go 2 breakfast meals ( one standard for 7.95$ plus large one for 9.99$). He put everything in a bag. I live literally 2-3 mins drive from the place. When I get home. I saw everything was burned, the bacon,s the breads. And I wanted to share the food with my wife and another little boy of 14 months we have..my wife said the bread and the bacons are burned. We cannot eat this. I started to eat it and try to give my both sons the potatoes that are not completely burned. My wife said, call the place and let them know. I called , and the guy was trying to denie and argue. I drove back there to show it to him.. instead of apologize he is saying this is the way they do bacons. In the pictures, nothing is burned. So it is a false advertising...and the way he treated me, I even told him you don't treat me as respect to give me something burned like that and can't even replace it ...there was his colleague , that came she was nice and apologized to say what he did was wrong. She is sorry she couldn't replace it. I think the guy was the boss. I told him, your customer service is very poor and you treat people badly and I believe you don't have respect for Black people. Because EI saw the way you treated and greet the other white guy that was ordering there. So I left him all the foods and just lost 20$... Those individuals shouldn't have business in Canada if you can't or don't know how to treat your customers. This is not India here. I even took photos and videos...and I am going to do a YouTube...
Read moreIf I’d made this review a year ago it would have been a 4-5 stars. After this evenings meal a 2 star review is even being generous.
Ordered for a family of 4 through SkipTheDishes, it was a repeat from last year. Four burgers and a poutine.
Poutine was pretty good.
Burgers were so over cooked they could have been used for hockey pucks which was shocking considering our past experiences. They had almost zero toppings so it made for an even dryer burger.
On my Double King Burger I requested extra chilli and paid extra. Last year I got a tiny container with the chilli. This time, I paid for and got nothing. I also asked for extra mayo, tomato and pickles, something they’d done perfectly in the past. The special instructions were ignored and if anything there were less than regular on it.
Then the kicker…they raised the prices on everything from last year. The same order came to $75 last year just cost $95. Burgers were approx $2.50 more each and poutine just under $2 more. I get that some places have had to increase prices during the pandemic, and we are okay with that…what we are not okay with is the price going up 10% while the quality of food goes down 90% and the order isn’t being followed correctly. I also don’t expect items I pay extra for that be omitted.
Considering we made this location one of our regulars when the pandemic began it’s incredibly disappointing to realize I’m never ordering there again.
Just under $100 and I’ve got half a burger in the garbage and 3 other halves of the remaining burgers are...
