Just finished eating here with my wife and 2 kids. We opted for the all you can eat menu, figuring that it would be a good way to see if we had another ayce joint to add to the rotation. We saw the price and the sign on regent thinkin... hmm, at that price, it must be pretty decent. Nope! We were told to pick our seat. We sat down and yhe server handed us 2 menus and a crumpled up piece of paper that looked like it was about a month old and all the previous selections were erased. Looked like this paper must have been cycled for a while. I get the point of the order sheet being reusable.. but make it RE USABLE and not look like it's being recycled. The food came out after quite the wait... a couple things were half decent. The "real crab" was just crab sticks cut different and in much smaller strips to mimic the look of real crab. But you ain't foolin no one with that. The deep fried shrimp was good, and that was about it. The sashimi looked old and deli meat thin. The nigiri was just a balled up chunk of rice with a skimpy slab of meat on it. No wasabi. No care put into the dishes at all. Vibe sucked. Service sucked. Price sucked and the food sucked. Overall I would give this place a negative 7. For what I got I would habe paid about 65 bucks at any regular sushi spot with better quality. Only place worse than this would be magic sushi down the...

The good: I went for the all you can eat Sushi. Most of the rolls were fairly well done, with decent taste, plenty of sauce available, etc. The miso soup was flavourful and well done, perhaps the best I’ve had in the city so far.
The bad: Even though this was an “all you can eat” I was told that I ordered too much, and was only served ~60% of what I initially picked. I was then given a second sheet to order again. This was fine except for the wait - which ended up being 20 more minutes for anything from that sheet. Quite frequently rolls would be falling apart upon being served to my table.
The ugly: There was very minimal decor. There was no music playing, so the only noise was from other people talking and eating, which resulted in very hushed conversations. The tables were incredibly sticky, to the point your hands / arms would physically stick to them when they were rested on it. Minimal seating resulted in some folks waiting at the door, or just leaving.
Overall: it was certainly a nice experience to try a new sushi place. Unfortunately this one will not be added to the list of places I frequent. It seems like most of these issues have been going on for quite some time as well, considering they are echoed in reviews that are years old....
Read moreDecided to try and new sushi place. Boy, do I wish we read the reviews before actually going here because it would have made us stay far away. The atmosphere was almost more unappealing than the quality of the food. The walls were dirty, covered with spills of some sort. No music or background sound to help distract the fact the kitchen staff watched us while we ate the entire time. No server checked on us the entire time, aside to carry away dirty dishes. The food was not fresh at all, the fish was either canned or improperly thawed out from frozen. The shrimp tempura was microwaved, I've had gas station sushi more appealing than... that. For almost $90 for two people, I am severely disappointed. Half of the rolls we got, fell apart instantly. Not wanting to be charged for anything left over, we force fed ourselves the nearly inedible food. I was wondering why the entire restaurant was empty aside from us, and I guess this has answered that question. I'm shocked this place is still open based on the amount of negative reviews, over the same concerns. I hope we don't get food poisoning from this night out. Don't be dumb like us, choose a different local sushi restaurant to go too. This was the most uncomfortable dining experience...
