Pretty good. It's a nice alternative to the Royal Fork if their menu for the day isn't up your alley and about $5 cheaper for both lunch and dinner. Although it's a Chinese buffet, there are other alternatives like fries and onion rings available. Water is complimentary, and they do have Coca-Cola drinks, but unfortunately soda isn't bottomless, which stinks. The atmosphere inside is pretty nice though there's no background music, so it can feel awfully quiet for how large it is when it's not busy. It's a bit odd seeing as they do have speakers throughout - maybe something's just broken. Service is good and there's plenty of variety, though they're not as good as Royal Fork at keeping things filled if something runs low. Otherwise, it's well worth the money, especially if you're bringing a few people with you.
April 2022 update: most of what I've said previously still applies...with the exception of the bits about being an alternative to the Royal Fork (RIP). In the time since though takeout options have become a bit more accessible by way of their own new website as well as SkipTheDishes, which I actually took advantage of once and didn't have any problems. For a little while there was a queue and you told a worker what you'd like, but now it's returned to self-service. Prices have risen a little bit (except for toddlers) even in the last 6-9 months, and gratuities are now applicable to groups of 8+ people instead of 10+ people. Though I'd still say it's worth the money.
August 2022 update: couple other things I figure I should mention, booth seating is noticeably deteriorating and is nearly comparable to the state that the Royal Fork's were in before it closed down. It's clear they're really coming due for some re-upholstering. Staff are still doing the best they can given that business is still clearly as strong as ever - special shoutout to Faith who was particularly cheerful during a...
Read moreI recently visited Foody Goody with my family and had an incredibly disappointing experience with the restaurant manager or supervisor on duty. Her discriminatory and despicable attitude left a lasting negative impression on our dining experience. Our daughter, full of innocent curiosity and joyful laughter, became the target of her discriminatory mindset. Rather than embracing the vibrancy of a child's spirit, she approached our table with hostility, demanding that we keep our daughter quiet. Her words were not only hurtful but also completely devoid of empathy. This incident left us feeling disheartened and disrespected. It's disheartening to see someone in a position of authority display such discriminatory behavior. Restaurants should be places where everyone feels welcome, regardless of age, background or race. It is my hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for the management to address the inappropriate behavior of their staffs. It is imperative that they implement training programs to educate their employees about diversity, empathy, and the importance of creating an inclusive environment. I hope that future patrons will not have to endure the same hurtful experience that my family and I had to go through. Let us work towards a society where discrimination and prejudice are relics of the past, and where everyone, including young children, can enjoy a meal without fear of being subjected to derogatory comments or...
Read moreGood meal . Came around to collect from group of 30 everyone paid credit card . Tip Option on machine , naturally I gave tip good food service . They gave me a reciept from the credit card machine . I then asked for a receipt that shows food charges . They gave me a ticket that had total and gst number , no breakdown of charges . I then asked for a reciept that gave a breakdown . Was referred to go look for Manager . I found Manager and asked him for a reciept with the breakdown . IT WAS DIFFERENT ! I then confronted him on this . He explained they add %5 for parties over 10 people and the waitress should have informed me this . I told him this was misleading . He apologized and asked if I wanted my $4 tip back , I declined but asked to speak with waitress . She came and apologized . They were friendly about the situation but I really do believe I am not the first and it is misleading to auto tip when paying and then have an option on machine to tip again . Just a warning to people eating here check your receipts before you tip it could be already added...
