DELIVERY! Please remind your staff that their job is only to hand over the order — nothing more. I am an independent courier, not their employee. Your staff have absolutely no right to shout at me across the parking lot, like some unprofessional person, telling me how to do my job. That is completely unacceptable. They don’t know my workflow, and it is not their place to question it. If I choose to carry the order to my car before putting it into the bag, it is because I know my route, my schedule, and my other upcoming pickups. I often have multiple bags and multiple orders to manage. It is more convenient and efficient for me to organize everything in my vehicle — not at your counter, and definitely not in front of someone yelling at me. Couriers are not “below” restaurant staff — we are partners in the process. Respect must go both ways. I do not tell your staff how to do their job — they should not try to tell me how to do mine. Please instruct your employees to stop interfering in a courier’s work, stop shouting across parking lots, and focus on their actual duties. This kind of behavior is unprofessional, disrespectful, and unnecessary.
Response for Jay! Jay It seems there is some misunderstanding about how courier operations work. Regarding the warming bag. A warming bag is present with the courier when picking up orders. Placing the order into the bag at the counter is not always practical or efficient. Organizing orders in the vehicle ensures proper handling, sufficient space, and efficiency. This is standard practice across the delivery industry and does not compromise food quality. 2.Regarding multiple orders. Delivery platforms like Uber Eats, DoorDash, Skip, are designed to assign multiple orders on a single route to optimize delivery efficiency. Couriers do not independently decide how many orders to carry the system assigns them. Contrary to what was suggested, this is entirely within standard workflow procedures. 3.Regarding the original concern. The main issue was staff behavior specifically shouting across the parking lot and attempting to direct the courier’s workflow. The response provided shifted focus entirely to platform policies, ignoring the real concern about professional conduct and respect. A clearer understanding of standard courier procedures and professional communication would help ensure better collaboration, protect the quality of deliveries, and maintain the...
Read moreHate having to leave this review. I love the food, service is ALWAYS great.
BUT...
This time the food order was missing the protein. When pointed out I was told it was extra. Upon showing them the menu where it clearly indicates it is a part that the meal when ordered it was reluctantly sent to kitchen. Showed up after rest of food was consumed. Server was gracious and kind in the end and I appreciate that. She was tipped well.
The love music on the patio but not when it is ridiculously loud. I love live music and seek it out. I love loud music in my car, but music on the patio should not drown out conversation to the point of yelling. Completely eliminating social distancing when I have to get within inches of the server's ear so they can hear me. Our server was not happy about it either proclaiming they had to endure 3 sets. Its mental. Singer was good and I liked the playlist too. But dude turn down the speakers!
Not to mention a staffer participating in taking a group photo of 3 tables (including the singer) amounting to about 20 people standing on top of each other without any masks.
It's a selfish move by the patrons since that is outdoors and clear view of Grant, apartment buildings etc. And easily could result in a $5000 fine.
Restaurants need us to support them by showing up, buying food AND FOLLOWING THE RULES! Because a 5k fine is killer to bottom line. Be better people.
And Fionn's you need to ensure food is sent out properly as per your menu, monitor your patio for volume of music so patrons can enjoy each other's company while waiting for food and monitor your support staff that they are not encouraging activities that could cost...
Read moreVery disappointed in my last visit. I've attended 3 times in all the years I lived in the area. First 2 times, great experience. The last time I was there I ordered a beer and a bowl of French onion soup on a colder day a few weeks ago. I got the soup which in fact looked superb. I had a few spoon fulls and was not all that impressed when there was next to no broth. Soggy bread and cheese is what I got. I politely asked if I can have a bit more broth as I picked out most of the soggy bread. The bartender (possibly manager) said that would not be possible in a ignorant manner. She said if she did that it would throw off their portions. I responded saying that I did not want to continue with the soup then. She responded "FINE" and grabbed the soup and walked away. Upon her return she came back with a ignorant attitude. I had only had w sips of the pint of beer I ordered which was $10 at 4pm (happy hour price?) WOW! I saidto her actually you can have the beer back too because of her attitude. I got up and put my jacket on while she gave a snarky look. I said have a great day and I will make sure to leave a review. I walked away and her response was oh I'm sure you will. I will never attend back there again.
What a shame!
I hope she sees or hears about this review and is...
