OPA! of Greece Grant Park Centre — Restaurant in Winnipeg

My brother and I got food poisoning from this location on Tuesday Jan 22/2019 around 1:30 pm. We are 100% positive our food poisoning was from here as this was the only thing we both ate in common, along with other determining factors. He picked up two euro meals along with a chicken kids meal. The chicken was supposed to be extra cooked but instead they gave (and charged us for) extra chicken skewer. $38 later, he got to my house with our food and the meat in our Euro was hard and clearly old. At the time I figured it had been over cooked so I ate it anyways. My brother also ate his. Within an hour or so he and I were both sick. Thankfully my children were fine as they ate the chicken. I called the restaurant the next day asking for a refund and the employee I had initially spoke to agreed to doing so for my entire meal. Then the manager called me back (?) And confirmed that the food poisoning was just from the euros to which I said yes. Then she asked if I wanted new food which I declined, obviously. She again said I would get a refund and that was it. I went in for my refund a few days later and after giving my name, they refunded me for the two meals that gave us food poisoning only. I was taken back because that's terrible business and I was told by the first employee that I would get a full refund. I would not recommend going to this location and will definitely not...

Usually I only leave reviews on the two extremes of service, either good or bad. This time it's on the bad.

I entered said location on 6:45pm about 15 minutes before close, and I knew what I wanted to make things easier.

The lady there said it would take about 5 - 7 minutes for the beef for the pitas to be done. I said "That's fine" as it would be about 6:55 or earlier by the time I had my food and walked out the door.

So once I'm about ready to pay, the lady talks to someone in the back of the restaurant and than comes back that they can't serve me because its almost close. I left after that.

The sheer incompetence is staggering. Are you seriously not capable of cooking what was a relatively easy order? Regardless, I took my $40 I was about to spend and went elsewhere.

You'd think that restaurants would want your money considering current global events but sadly I'm wrong. Do yourself a favor and...

Fresh, Flavorful, and Cozy! OPA at Grant Park is a lovely, clean, and cozy spot that makes you feel welcome right away. We ordered calamari and fries with shrimp and salad, and everything was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented.
