We cannot eat rice and noodles and neither corn starch due to our dietary restrictions. They strictly said they cannot serve tofu without frying it... (Understand that it goes mushy when you stir fry; but, we just asked to get the cut tofu on the side and they denied) We were mentally ready to order only stir fry, but it was a huge disappointment...there was 60% celery to it! Like half of the dish was celery! The chicken stir fry was just tasting like boiled chicken! They do not marinate the chicken either. Just cut the pieces and stir fry. There's no flavor to their chicken. The good thing is they give consomme which tastes good on the better side... Disappointment!

Service was ok. Staffs were nice. However their portion was very little compare to your typical chinese restaurants which has suprised me. For the price itself, you can just go to a different place. Ex: East ocean or kens in Downtown, same price. It was my first time seeing a fried rice that is only good for one person. We paid over $100 and we basically had to divide everything equally so we can all eat properly. It felt like a snack. Everything was salty. Their chow mein was mostly vegetables, butter calamari was all onions LOL. And the breaded ribs is like something you can buy from a box at Superstore. Basically like a kids meal.

Grew up in Winnipeg being a Hungs Garden regular well before they moved to Regent Ave. Have since moved out of province and was back visiting so of course had to reacquaint myself with my favourite Chinese restaurant. Ordered my usual Harvest in the Snow, Koo Loo chicken and Ginger Beef. Wow just as good as I remember from 5 years ago. Very flavourful, fresh and scrumptious…did not want it to end!

Do not spend your money on this. You will still be hungry. The servings are mostly vegetables and smaller than most competitors. I can vouch for the previous reviews from the last months. My family and I used to order from here years ago and decided to try again. WHAT A MISTAKE that was. We aren’t big eaters..and we almost always have left overs but there’s nothing left but sauce and vegetables..and we’re still hungry! I know portions come with veggies but this is ridiculous.

Called to complain and they just defended their product endlessly. I ended up hanging up because she was talking in circles. I tried to tell them I wasn’t expecting a handout and should appreciate their customers more. She continued on to tell me that “it’s not just your order it’s all orders” and I said yes “that’s the problem, you are giving people no meat in a meat dish.” They really dropped the ball here.. save yourself the empty stomach and frustration because it’s “how...

I ordered food for the first time the food was good but they made a mistake on my order and said that it wasn't there fault and that it was my mistake then finally they said that they would fix it but I would have to pick it up after I told them that I didn't feel that I should have to go pick it up when it was not my mistake they said that they would send someone to pick up the wrong food item and bring the right item.we had already stared eating the item before we noticed it was not the right item (chicken balls verses battered shrimp both look the same from the outside)the guy came with the correct item and then had to call to make sure that it was OK that some of it was eaten.i ordered 125.00 worth of food and feel that the way they handled the situation was ridiculous I will never order from them again!!!I work at salon and have many clients I will never recommend this place in fact I will let them know about this...

Hidden treasure. From the moment you walk in you can feel your shoulders drop, such a calm and peaceful atmosphere. You're greeted promptly by a friendly and attentive server, often checking in. While you wait for your hot meal, you're lulled by the soft music that's so cozy like a warm fuzzy blanket. You have just enough time to get caught up before your food comes out fresh and hot. So nice to be in a restaurant where you can have conversation without competing with blaring music. Honestly, I'm glad I stumbled across this Transconian gem. As a foodie, this will definitely be added to my short list of places that just being there makes me feel so much better than when I arrived. Full belly, easy on the wallet and a comfortable atmosphere.

Until...
