Dear Jollibee Customer Service,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the service and quality issues I have encountered. As a loyal fan of Jollibee, I have been a regular customer for several years, visiting your stores weekly. I have always enjoyed the brand and hoped for its continued success. However, my recent experiences have been highly unsatisfactory, prompting me to bring these issues to your attention.
Spicy Fried Chicken Recipe Change: Since the pandemic, the preparation method for your spicy fried chicken has changed from a seasoning powder method to pre-marinated chicken. This alteration has significantly affected the taste, making it less appealing to me and many of my friends and family who used to enjoy the spicy fried chicken. This decision from headquarters appears to be a misstep, as it has driven away several loyal customers who preferred the original recipe.
Declining Chicken Quality: Over the past two years, I have noticed a decline in the quality of your chicken. The portions have become smaller, and the seasoning is inconsistent, sometimes excessively salty and other times lacking any flavor. Additionally, the freshness of the chicken has been questionable on multiple occasions.
Supply Chain Issues: There was a period when the packaging used was not Jollibee-branded but rather generic, wholesale-bought bags. This resulted in poorly sealed deliveries, with paper bags that tore easily, causing inconvenience and a subpar customer experience.
Nairn Ave Store Management and Cleanliness: Since the opening week of the Nairn Ave store, I have been a frequent visitor. Initially, the primary issue was the store being closed during operating hours. Over time, I observed further problems:
The front desk staff seldom greet customers with the customary "hello Jolliafternoon or smiling," unlike other locations in Winnipeg and Calgary.
The red plastic trays are consistently greasy and unple On multiple occasions, artists who visit the store block the entrance with their bicycles, and staff do not address this issue, leaving it to customers like me to resolve.
The cleanliness of the tables is severely lacking. There is often leftover food debris, oil stains, and the trash bins are frequently overflowing. This level of hygiene is unacceptable.
Most recently, on a workday visit, I was told to wait 15 minutes for my order because there was no original fried chicken available. All the customers present faced the same delay. For a fast-food restaurant, this is highly unsatisfactory.
Due to these recurring issues, I am compelled to express my dissatisfaction and disappointment with the head office and Nairn Ave Location. Attached to this letter is a receipt from my latest visit, which can be used to review the situation via your security footage. I will no longer be patronizing this location.
I hope Jollibee...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I have dined into this restaurant on Oct 30. I ordered the following items from their menu:
2pc chicken (spicy) and rice combo Gravy Yum burger Ube pie Diet Coke
My girlfriend's order: Palabok and 1pc chicken (regular) combo Side of Rice Gravy Ube pie diet coke
This was our first meal of the day. After 6-7 hours consuming our meals, we both began to develop a heavy fever and I began to have diarrhea. The symptoms were ongoing for 3 days and after no over-the-counter medications were helping, I decided to see a doctor at Seven Oaks Urgent Care.
After discussing with the doctor, they believe I may have been food poisoned with staphylococcal and/or salmonella. My girlfriend went to see a doctor as well since her symptoms were not improving and the doctor believes she got food poisoned too.
We did report this to the managers twice (different individuals picked up the phone when we called) at Jollibee on Oct 31 and they responded back to us, in a mocking manner, by saying they have not ever received a complaint like this before... (but I see some complaints on Google Review from other people stating the quality of their chicken and food items being poor)... They told us they would get back to us and confirm if their food were prepared correctly and served at the correct temperature and see how they can help but still have not received a response after 4 days now.
I have eaten at Jollibee ever since they arrived at Winnipeg and I never had any issues after eating a meal at the St. James and McPhilips locations. It was only when I ate at this new location I became very sick and ill. I hope this does not occur to anyone else... Please conduct a thorough examination of your establishment's food preparation and handling should any other customers become affected... otherwise I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone...
Read moreNOT ORGANIZED QUEUE I went to Nairn, Winnipeg branch. I ordered 6 basic/regular meals for to-go and I waited half an hour for that. A lot of customers behind me got their order first before me, they even have more orders than me. I keep thinking that's my order they are preparing, but keeps turning out, not for me. After 25mins of waiting, they probably realized I'm the only one who is waiting. They asked me to show my receipt and give it to them, and started preparing my order FROM THE START. It seems like they really forgot about my order 😒😒 I know they are really busy, because they are prioritizing the drive thru 😒😒 but because I'm ordering inside, doesn't mean I have time. I got my order after another 5 more minutes of waiting. See? They can prepare them within shorter time. Their queueing system is not working well, please improve this one. They have many kitchen staff, all busy but I noticed some of them are just having fun, mostly younger, giving high-fives to each other. I can't discuss in-person because I wasn't feeling well that time and I'm also an introvert person so I prefer writing. Aside from that, I have no problem with the food, it's really good. Thankfully, after half an hour of waiting. Would probably come back for the food, but please improve the...
