I have ordered from chicken chef for years and have always loved their service and keto foods and desserts.
I have come to the restaurant nearly daily and ordered delivery many, many times.
The last couple times I was there, my desserts were moldy. They were replaced but it was still off putting. The manager was rude and grouchy but again, Ignored it.
I ordered delivery to my home Aug 22, delivered with no issue.
TODAY I called to place delivery to the same address and had no issues until she called back and the "manager" who answered was soooooo rude and condensing. She explained that they don't deliver here as we are "out of the catchment" I told her not only did I just place an order Aug 22 delivered but I have done this many, many times before. She continued to talk to me like I didn't have two brain cells to rub together. I said I only order from their location because they are the only ones with a keto menu. She AGAIN went on and on about how this is the last time they will ever deliver to me and I told her this will be the last time I will EVER do business there.
I asked how far they deliver to they said EK, Transcona and Elmwood.
I am located 4.4 km (8 min drive south). She stated they don't drive down Lag, they only take panet/nairn... I told her you can easily take panet or nairn to my location, that you don't need to take Lag at all. Of course, this set her off and she continued to treatment like a complete idiot.
She stated "this is the last time we deliver to you and it will now take 1.5 hours" (for a chicken caesar salad and a couple other ready made items). I told her this is the last time I give them any business at all.
She was so incredibly rude and disrespectful. I wanted to cancel my order but she promptly hung up on me before I could. we'll see if someone shows up.
The new management is by far the rudest I've ever dealt with in a restaurant.
p.s. the keto desserts are made outside of there by someone else and they're awesome but the staff there admitted to NOT dating them and told me last time they had many people complain about the mold. I told them then that they need to date them so this doesn't happen again because the desserts the best part.

The message indicated that delivery by 6:09pm would be the anticipated delivery time. By 6:30pm the food had still not arrived so I called the restaurant to follow-up and ensure that my order was indeed received. During that call the staff indicated the driver was on their way with my order. My order did not arrive at my door until 7:15pm…we live max 10 minutes from the restaurant. When the food arrived the chicken was lukewarm, the fries were cold and soggy and the gravy was cold. Similar to a post from another person, the coleslaw was very off. Because I waited nearly 2.5hrs for my food, I ate the barely warm chicken to at least have something. When I called the restaurant to complain, the staff asked if I would like to have a new batch sent to my home. At this point it was no use. Throughout the conversation, the staff was argumentative and dismissive. I was thinking that it would be better to order from the restaurant directly so that they could get the full $ instead of ordering through a third party like skip. The staff went on about how they don’t use the provider (this was not the point - I would have ordered from another location if I was not wanting to give the full $ amount to the restaurant). The staff then began arguing about how long it should have taken for it to arrive. Because I salvaged what bit I could from my order, they would not provide a refund. The refund isn’t even the biggest deal, it’s the principle of the entire situation. I will never be returning to this location and will be contacting head office tomorrow. Lesson learned, I will just order through skip so my food can actually be tracked. Also if food arrives that late, just send it back and cook some hot dogs. So...

No more Keto Menu like the previous owners The waitress didn't have a clue what sauces they had "You know, honey garlic, hot sauce and a bunch of others" Had to remind waitress the other person at our table ordered soup The chicken fingers were the size of my thumb (less than half the size of what they used to be) Coating on the fish was crispy.... to the point it was rock hard Chicken was coming out of the fryer and sitting on a shelf in the back, not in a warmer (questionable food safety No refill on the coffee (waitress vanished) The staff were busy arguing with each other in the back Woman (I presume manager) was busy belittling their delivery driver when he was asking how much longer the orders would be; they were prioritizing "Skip" and "Door Dash" over "phone in" orders - Driver indicated there were orders waiting over 40 minutes.
