We visited the McDonald's Osborne Store #2902 Drive Thru on Friday, March 5, 2021; Order #'s 97 & 97/1, Transactions 1LNC0C45X0 and 1LNC0C45X1. We asked that our Large Fries with the Order be hot and fresh and would gladly wait, as well as asking for our Receipt in the bag. They also had 12oz. Shakes advertised on paper on their Menu Board for $1.59 that we also ordered. After waiting an inordinate amount of time in the Drive Thru to get our Order, we were tired and hungry after a long day and decided to eat in their Parking Lot. We were very upset to find the fries COLD when we made a special request for them to be hot and fresh. There were several cars in the Drive Thru and we decided to eat the cold fries and did not enjoy our meal. The Shamrock Shake was placed in a Child's Cup which certainly did not look like 12oz! (I took it home and measured the volume with a Measuring Cup, 8oz. not 12oz. as advertised. 12oz. makes a Child's Cup overflow!) We also did not get our Receipt in the bag as we had asked for. We decided to go back through the Drive Thru and get our Receipt as well as speak to the Manager on Duty (MOD). We were given our Receipts by one Associate who then called the Manager on Duty so we could speak with him. We let him know our disappointment with the Meal at his Restaurant as a result of cold fries. We also asked to confirm that a Child's Size Cup is indeed 12oz. as they advertised. The MOD said it was and only "Okay" about us communicating our experience to him. That's it! We were looking for nothing more than some good Customer Service and perhaps a simple apology like, "We're sorry about your experience and will try to do better next time". I do not think the MOD's attitude and Customer Service Skills are how McDonald's Trains it's Team Members. This Restaurant does not seem to be following the McDonald's Standard in Customer Service and Food preparation. I am very surprized that the Franchisee is either not paying attention to Reviews to try and correct the problem or even the McDonald's Regional or Corporate Training Team stepping in to provide some additional Customer Service Training to help this Team improve. I also let the MOD know that I would be escalating my experience to Corporate and he replied, "Okay"...! Over the year's we have visited this same Location with similar experiences, but did nothing about it but accept it. That is our fault. If you are not satisfied with something and do not communicate that to the proper Individual's, then you have to be satisfied with what you get. The only thing satisfying about past McDonald's Store #29092 visits was being able to use their Washroom, and even that experience has not been the best due to its lack of cleanliness at times! Hopefully, things will change at this Location in the future so others who may be trying this Location for the first time do not have the same negative experience we did. I am sure there are several Team Member's at this Location who strive to deliver excellent Customer Service and a good experience for Guests, unfortunately we have not had the privilege of being...
Read moreHad a terrible experience with "Irish" who I can assume was the manager however she was not wearing a name tag. I started my visit by ordering on my mobile app for curb-side delivery . I had done this numerous times before and being post-call from the hospital, I did not mind waiting for an employee to bring out my order. I ordered at 8:57, placed my location as being outside the store in spot 4, confirmed my parking location and waited. This waiting lasted over 15 minutes until 9:15. I finally decided something was wrong and decided to enter the restaurant. Upon entering, the staff looked to be relatively busy. I noticed a girl in a shirt that appeared to be a manager and said "excuse me" to try to get her attention. She ignored me and continued on doing her duties. I asked her a second time to get her attention and she finally looked at me. I told her I had ordered a bagel and had been waiting over 15 minutes in the curb-side spot 4 outside for my bagel. She looked down at a bag infront of her on the counter and handed me it without saying a word. Being very confused at the lack of timely service, I politely asked "What had happened there ? Why did it take so long to get my food ?" I told her I had been waiting over 15 minutes. She looked at me, literally grabbed the bag out of my hand and headed to the back to remake the bagel. She came back and I told her I did not need the bagel remade, I simply wanted to know why it took so long to get my bagel, as maybe I had done something wrong. She claimed I had never entered my parking spot number. I told her I had, as I had done this multiple times before, and even offered to show her the spot number on my phone. (It was on the home page, saying we've got your order and told me to continue waiting in spot 4; I had done this many times before and I knew that I had done it correctly). She rolled her eyes, then walked away and went to continue gathering customers orders while I waited at the front counter. She continued ignoring me until she finally went back to get my new bagel. She came back and gave it to me, at which point I asked for her name and she replied "Irish".
I used to work at McDonalds 10 years ago, and know how high of expectations the staff used to be held to. I am not sure if in this particular occasion Irish was having a bad day, very busy, or whether this is her baseline customer service skills (I definitely hope not). I certainly hope this can be addressed through further training in customer service skills or customer relations. This has been by far the worst experience I have had in McDonald's, and I will now drive out of my way on my drive home to visit a different McDonald's in the future. I will also continue to copy and paste this review on Yelp and other restaurant review sites.
The location in question is 375 Osbourne Street,...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible customer service and staffing. I show up at 11:30 pm and there is a 15 minute wait. It wasnât in a rush, they were just taking 4 minutes per car. I ordered a snack sized chocolate milkshake, waited the deceptively long wait time considering there was only two cars in front of me, and pulled up to the window. The lady running the drive through hold the machine up without asking what my order is, and I pay. She then asks âBig Mac meal with a sweet teaâ or something along those lines (I canât remember exactly). I tell her no, I ordered a snack sized chocolate milkshake, and she says âoopsiesâ and runs off. I already feel a little guilty because there are cars behind that have had to wait for a ridiculous amount of time; Iâm starting to understand why each order is taking 4 minutes. She eventually comes back with a large milkshake and so I assume it is some sort of compensation for getting my order wrong or something (how wrong I was).
I drive off as the drive through lady snickers to her coworker and ignore the sinking feeling in my chest. I then check my credit card and see that she charged me for the entirety of the Big Mac meal and drink (it was close to 11$) for my original order which was 2$. I canât even drink the large milkshake, and even if I wanted it, itâs 5.40$, I could have gotten two for the price I was charged.
I apologize for the rant but this is not a singular issue, it is the accumulation of many small things this location has done (made me wait 20 minutes for a sausage McMuffin at 10 in the morning, and made me witness a full blown manager meltdown as the manager used manipulation tactics to attempt to get their employees to work while I waited 10 minutes to ask for a bathroom key are two examples that come to mind, but there are many more).
Iâm not sure why I keep coming here and expecting better results, like Sisyphus pushing his boulder up the hill. Anyways, I hope someone reads this and feels vindicated in their rage, or the CEO of McDonalds reads this and shuts the restaurant down, I would appreciate that. Or a refund of my order (Iâm more than happy to pay the 2 dollars plus tax for my snack sized chocolate milkshake). Thank you, and...
