Confusion Corner generously donated a 5 course meal to the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation annual "A Night of Miracles" event and I was fortunate enough to get winning bid. Kevin and his team were unbelievably accommodating all of our unpredictable schedules, food allergies and preferences and served up an incredible meal with fantastic wine pairings and non-alcoholic alternatives. The service was excellent with our server paying attention to every detail, the chef checking in on us 3 separate times that evening and Kevin himself ensuring that everything was to our liking. The salmon was incredible, but the attention to little details like the Rosti style potato stack with each individually sliced 2 mm thick potato individually roasted before being stacked together was the kind of stuff that you only see at Michelin Star level restaurants. Looking forward to bidding again if they offer it at the next auction, but I highly recommend this restaurant for their quality and attention to detail for specialty events and will be looking to check it out in the future for a regular a la carte experience or my next sports bar event gathering with friends. I'd like to start with the good things: the service and cocktails were excellent. The blonde girl(server) was very friendly. The food was good, nothing special, but also nothing bad—everything was fine in that regard. However, we did not like the atmosphere at all. There were food scraps left on the table from previous guests, and no one cleaned up. We were sitting on the patio, where a spider has likely been living for more than a month. The window frames were very dirty, probably not cleaned since last summer. The floor was also dirty, not to mention the artificial flowers hanging from the ceiling, which were dropping dust onto the guests' food—this is unacceptable to me. There was also a very dirty fan (I understand it’s hot), but it was blowing dust onto all the guests. Therefore, if not for these issues, the rating would be 4.5-5, but unfortunately, it’s only 2 stars with a stretch. It was my wife's birthday, but sitting in a dirty establishment was a disappointment.

The food was the highlight of the experience, whereas some of the servers seemed to be new to the serving world, but were kind all the same. One can simply tell when there is an experienced server vs when they're new; we found ourselves waiting for things like water refills and more drinks. They also didn't have garlic bread available.. which I found almost shocking. It's like a restaurant staple.. how do you not serve garlic bread? In any case, the food wait was to be expected, and well worth it; my partner and I absolutely loved the bruschetta, I had a cup of French onion soup, the steak sandwich and he had one of their burgers, all of which was absolutely fantastic. During another visit, I tried their chicken tenders which are easily the best I have ever had. And their parmesan fries are delectable.

Update Oct 31/23 - I contacted the owner and he was extremely apologetic about the servers comment. He sent me a gift card as promised. I will give this place another try as I think the owner handled my concern very professionally. I came here for dinner with a friend. It’s a nice atmosphere and I was happy to see gluten free options on the menu. I ordered the chicken tacos. They were good but I was disappointed that they didn’t come with a side. The one thing that bothered me is that the server asked me if I was pregnant when she asked if I wanted to order a drink and I replied that I wasn’t drinking. This made me feel uncomfortable and like I had to explain myself. Other than that, it was a good experience.
