I'm a fan of McDonald's but this location has consistently failed to meet expectations.
Tonight was worse. I went inside the store around 10:43 pm for a late snack. There were 3 orders before me and several at the drive through. I noticed a customer getting impatient after 2 orders before me were filled. I loudly asked the customer how long there were waiting for and they said 15 minutes for several burgers. A manager overhead our chat and spoke with the customer to resolve the issue.
I understand it probably was close to closing time and not much food was available to go. But the staff didn't even bother to communicate this to the customer. The cashier had the audacity to tell the customer to just speak to the staff rather than follow up with the other staff themself.
I watched 6 staff members on duty inside the restaurant. Some were nonchalantly move around without a care in the world. Eye contact was made, but they either continued to sweep the floor, talking, or nonchalantly moved about taking their sweet time ignoring the waiting customer at the counter.
As for my order, I wanted a late night snack of 2 apple pies and some fries. It wasn't until I got home and opened the bag that I noticed the pies were expired. On many occasions in the past, the staff at other branches in Winnipeg and Ontario informed me that they were not allowed to sell expired pies to customers. I've gotten refunds in the past or they checked their inventory before charging me.
A week ago, I made it clear over the drive-through intercom that I wanted to use my points on the McDonald's app to pay for my order. I was acknowledged but in the end it was never processed. I ended up paying in full for my order. It wasn't worth the effort to ask the cashier to punch it through given their lack of enthusiasm over the intercom and the long line behind me. I was quite disappointed nothing was communicated to me as if they didn't really care.
I've been to several other McDonald's in Winnipeg many times and I have never had any issues nor saw any issues. If there were, I staff addressed the problem or the customers promptly. I can understand if it's during lunch or dinner rush and it's busy.
The action of the staff at this store based on the experiences seemed incompetent, under trainers, or did not care about the customers. The managers and most members worked well tonight. It's really disappointing to see the character of a few staff members lower the standards of one store and potentially ruin the reputation of a brand.

They then shooed us away from the window and when we got to the next, gave us the entire wrong order. The staff paid no attention to what was happening in front of them, as a woman came in and harrassed me to give her something, crying and hanging on my shoulder. I gave her the meal that was not what I ordered, since I wasn't going to need it anyway. The staff did nothing to help me as this woman came up to me and physically begged for the food out of my hand. The employees didn't care about anyone ordering or picking up an order, multiple walked past without being busy refusing to help people at the front. I have worked in the food industry in the past, this is not at all appropriate.
Worst thing is, our order was STILL wrong after that!!!! How do you mess something up this much? I am a very forgiving person, especially when it comes to rush and food because I get it! We are all human. But this many mistakes, this much waiting? And not caring that there are people in your establishment literally harassing customers? yeah. I will avoid this location, and...
   Read moreI visited just now around 1:30 AM in midnight today November 1 and I showed my 50% discount and it was actually met the requirements they could give me the discount but there was a lady manager who treated us in very bad way. I even ask her that if she can give me the code and she is like you should know that you canât use it. Like why we have the platinum cards then. The food they gave me I ask for fresh and she pulled me ahead which is fine but can anyone tell me that which crispy chicken you guys are serving which can ready be within 2 mins. I work at McDonaldâs from years and I am manager too. Never seen this much bad service. I visited multiple times and they do the same thing with me.
Who made them managers even. They do not even know how to treat guests. We are not asking for free food if she could say this in good way that was not a big deal but if she thinks that she knows all about McDonaldâs then no she forget that you guys are only with your people without the people you are nothing and that is your job when you are on work.
I have ignore multiple times but not going back to this location ever in my whole life and will never recommend anyone...
