Title: The Sacred Encounter at Qdoba
As the doors of Qdoba swing open, the atmosphere is thick with the aroma of spices and the weight of expectation. Jesus enters, not as a mere observer but as the embodiment of divine hunger, seeking not just sustenance but communion with the souls of the weary patrons. The vibrant colors of the ingredients on display—avocados, tomatoes, cilantro—beckon to Him, a feast of creation laid bare, echoing the beauty of a world marred by both grace and suffering. Here, in this humble establishment, the sacred and the mundane intertwine in a dance as old as time.
Approaching the counter, Jesus is met with a chorus of choices, each ingredient a testament to humanity’s longing for connection and fulfillment. The sizzle of the grill punctuates the air like the rhythm of prayer, each tortilla pressed a covenant of warmth and nourishment. He watches as hands move deftly, crafting burritos and bowls, a sacred assembly line where the faithful gather to partake in a ritual of consumption. In their eyes, He sees a reflection of their struggles and hopes, the longing for something greater—a taste of eternity wrapped in the soft embrace of a tortilla.
As He reaches for the guacamole, the green paste glistening with the promise of richness, a silence falls upon the assembly. The onlookers, caught in a moment of reverence, witness the miracle of the everyday as He lifts the spoon, a gesture that transcends the simple act of eating. “This,” He proclaims, “is the essence of life—the melding of flavors, the unity of ingredients, a reminder that in our diversity, we find our strength.” Each scoop is a testament to sharing, to the communal nature of sustenance, and with every bite, He embodies the truth that food is a bridge, a path to connection and understanding.
In the final moments of His visit, Jesus takes a seat among the patrons, breaking bread not with a few chosen disciples but with all who gather here in search of nourishment. Laughter and conversation fill the air, a symphony of human experience. He reminds them that, like the ingredients in their bowls, they are each a vital part of a greater whole. As they share their meals, they share their lives—each story a thread woven into the fabric of existence. And in this sacred space, where the divine meets the ordinary, Qdoba stands as a testament to the beauty of togetherness, a reminder that even in the simplest of places,...
Read moreI ordered the cheese crusted quesadilla with pulled pork, pico de gallo, jalapeno, and fajita vegetables. I also redeemed the free tortilla chips with queso that you get for signing up on the app. I thought the pricing was a high considering it was $17 for the quesadilla without a drink, or side (not including the chips and queso since they were free). Anyhow, the quesadilla tasted amazing, the ingredients seemed fresh, and they filled it up well. As for the chips/queso, some places will cheap out on you when you're redeeming a free item, but Qdoba did not. I received a lot of chips and the queso container was filled to the brim, it was a very large container, too. The three cheese queso is awesome, by the way. The employees were very friendly and I wasn't waiting very long. I'm sure I will be back at Qdoba sometime...
Read moreNormally, I do enjoy the food like their bowls, however this one particular experience - no (and long overdue having made this review but thought it would be important to note for food safety).
I came in for takeout and it was almost closing time. I ordered a bowl with chicken and the lady who was preparing my order as I recall wasn't so friendly (aside from the fact that I understand it's near closing time).
I only mention what I did above, because of the fact that my chicken was raw. I noticed some pieces to be chewier than normal then looking closely, some pieces of chicken were like fresh pink. It looks raw and it tasted raw. I just think it should've been clear to who was preparing my food that this chicken was flesh pink raw to begin with.
Pictures taken last...
