Last week, I went to this restaurant around 8:44 PM, but the door was locked even though it was supposed to close at 9:00 PM. I knocked, but the guy inside said they were closed and wouldnât let me in, so I had to go to the restaurant next door.
The next morning, I returned and was served by a girl. The food was fantastic, but the tables werenât clean, which was understandable as she was the only one working on a busy day. Despite this, she was very helpful and ensured I got the best deal.
I came back two days later at night when the restaurant was about to close. This time, the food seemed old, likely made in the morning. I spoke with the guy there and learned he was a student.
The restaurant owner rarely visits, leaving the operations to students. They arenât paid on time or for extra hours, forcing them to close early sometimes. They also have to work alone because the owner wants to save money on employees, even though the restaurant is super busy at times.
The main focus of the restaurant seems to be making money, often exploiting immigrants. Employees donât get to keep their tips either, which was surprising and disappointing. I tipped him in cash and left, realizing how flawed the system is and how immigrants are being taken advantage of by some...
   Read moreI love this place. I really do. The food is always great, and the staff are usually super friendly (especially the one girl that works there!!!) but today the service was appalling.
I waited over 5 minutes while one of the staff was preparing and order and another guy just stood there watching. Then when the first guy finally finished and started helping me I had to repeat my very simple order 4 times before he started making it because he couldnât understand me.
When I expressed concerns about what looked like pink meat, and asked to see the meat that he had put on the taco he was making, I was brushed off and dismissed. I also once again felt like he had a hard time understanding me? Raw meat is very serious and food safely 101. Rather than just showing me the meat like I asked or remaking the taco they glanced at the other meat in the tray (not what was in the taco that looked pink) and continued to dismiss me, clearly not taking my concern seriously.
I think the guy might have been new? I donât know. Iâm a very patient person and tried to be patient here, but the service today was not good.
It ruined my appetite and I ended up walking out and not eating at all...

When I got there the staff told me he didn't get the order and should have ordered on Skip or other delivery option because their system is unreliable. OK so make our food now. He said they had no food left. Really???? So I left my name and number for management to get back to me since I already paid for it. No response for days. Finally emailed corporate (a few times) and got a response from Manager or owner a few days later promising to rectify this. Let me just say after multiple emails and texts to follow up, I was finally reimbursed today after threatening to go to court. More than 3 months to get my $30 back and didn't even give me anything to compensate me as a good will gesture. I cant comment on the food because, well, I never did get my order!! No way to run a business
