My friend and I came in for dinner tonight. We were really looking forward to coming in, we love the food and we usually get pretty decent service, but unfortunately for us, tonight that was not the case. I’m not going to blast our servers name on here but her initials are C.R. From the moment we were sat by the host, our server showed up around 5 minutes later and told us she would be right back and that she had to go to the kitchen. She huffed and puffed and took off. 10 minutes later she finally came back and quickly skimmed over the specials then took our drink order. When she came back with the drinks she then took our order. Her energy was as if she dreaded her job and was dreading serving us. It’s was super uncomfortable. We got our food (shout out to the kitchen because it was delicious) but throughout our entire meal she must have walked past our table at least 10 times and not once did she ask if we were ok, needed a refill, how things were, literally nothing. I had to stop her mid power walk to ask for a refill. She didn’t ask my friend if she was ok or wanted anything and really made us feel like our business was unwanted. She brought us our bill before we even asked for it, assumed it was one bill and never gave us the chance to let her know it was separate. She was definitely rushing us out. Between both bills we spent just over $200. I’ve never had a server make us feel like we were a burden to serve. I totally understand having a bad day, call it a one off if you want but damn, she couldn’t even fake it if she tried. When you hate your job that much, it truly does show. Going out for dinner is a privilege these days and I don’t want to spend my hard earned money on an establishment that has staff who make their guests feel unwanted and not welcomed. For that reason, I don’t think I could come back to this location. I’m not sure people realize just how important it is to treat people kindly, especially while expecting a tip. A little goes a long way. Very disappointed and will have to start going to a different location. $200 gone to a...
Read moreSo New Year's eve 2022 almost ended in disaster and disappointment.. my wife and I decided we were going to have a quiet night at home.. we planed on watching the team Canada/Sweden game and have a nice Red Lobster meal and wine .. unfortunately their website when placing our order directed us to door dash .. and that was the disappointment.. my wife had been watching our orders progress.. when it said it was 1 minute away my wife took our crazy dog into another room so the dog wouldn't go crazy when someone came to the door .. I watched and saw a car go by but no one showed... no food !! And then my wife got an update on her phone that the food had been delivered and the tracking was gone . So she tried to call door dash and was put on hold .. I decided I'd call Red Lobster directly.. I explained the situation to the person who answered and she got the manager for me ... The manager on duty was a young lady Shelby.. I explained what had happened she told me she was going to contact door dash and call me back .. I was pleasantly surprised when a few minutes later she called back and said she couldn't get a hold of door dash but she was going to have our order redone and have one of her staff bring it to us.. She delivered on her promise and not long after I talked to her. . A Red lobster staff was at our door with our food... it was still hot and everything was delicious and Shelby had added a couple of desserts free of charge. .. Mega props to Shelby and her staff for making it right. .. the only complaint I have is that the Red lobster website directs you to door dash for delivery ... I called Shelby to thank her and expressed my gratitude. .. I requested that if she could try to make sure the tip goes to her staff that delivered our food .. I'd hate to think our 15 percent tip goes to the driver that didn't even deliver the order.. all in all Shelby saved a customer from not coming back. . We will definitely order again but we'll probably pickup or eat in ... unless the delivery is from...
Read moreCame here for a seafood date as we don’t often get to the city.
We made a reservation through google which was WORTH IT- we got seated and served right away. When we had tried to call to make a reservation they’d said they’re only taking it through open table or google so this was also worth nothing
The restaurant is dimly lit for ambiance but it’s spacious. The chatter of customers could be overheard from all corners. Nothing too rowdy but definitely an excited crowd.
The host staff and seating staff were polite engaging in great conversation.
Once seated we browsed the menus which offer a large variety of seafood and customizing options. You can add most seafood options to any platter or meal you order, so long as you’re not concerned about cost you can eat a large variety as a result.
We both had the crab your way meal. We had initially ordered it steamed but they gave us garlic roasted. It was good- but VERY messy and oily. They don’t give you a butter dipping cup- the butter is at the bottom of the plate where your roasted potatoes are sitting. The potatoes are so crispy though that the sitting in the oil/butter doesn’t ruin the crunch which is fantastic.
The garlic option was great in the end, however MESSY. they give you a few wet naps & paper towels but don’t be afraid to ask for more.
The biscuits are always a great part of the experience. Brought out first and in generous amounts.
We ordered the bacon Mac and cheese on the side and it was done correct. We loved it.
Overall the experience was fantastic. Great, friendly and timely service. Hot food served on time with no excessive waits. Clean restaurant.
I only rated it four because of sensory issues of eating very messy oily foods with my hands, but this isn’t the restaurants fault.
I would recommend! But get a reservation down!
Oh and parking was packed as it shares with Olive Garden. We had to park up the street but that’s expected as we also have a...
