i misheard her while ordering and she was quick to cut me off word for word: “i said inside or take out-“ (practically yelling and in a very annoyed tone and look.). as someone who has worked in customer service and food industry i’ve always been understanding of employees and the possibilities of them having a bad day but this girl specifically was outright just so disrespectful, yelling, rolling her eyes and laughing along the other two girls she was working with clearly towards at us as they kept glancing and quite literally giving the dirtiest look because i made it obvious i was not pleased with the service they were giving. (did not confront nor gave them the attitude back. the look on my face was enough for them to know.) like we were a mockery. not only this, she acted as if she didn’t even want to touch the paper bag and tossed it. i wanted to see what their names were but NONE had name tags which says a lot. i have encountered other people working who clearly have been having a bad day, i was always quick to dismiss the small attitude because i understand, but i have never felt and been this disrespected by an employee until this one. one thing you should never do is take it out on customers. i have also never made this much of a descriptive review in google, or just a review in general but i just felt the need to for this specific situation. it’s just the kind of circumstance where it ruins your day. no words at all, just so...
Read moreThe 3* given in this review is for the manager who made things right for me, I went to the taco time at polo park mall to have the Thursday special buy one burrito second one half price, unknown to me they only put one small scoop of beef and one scoop of cheese into the soft shell wrap. As I was bitting into the burrito I was eating a cold floured shell (🤢🤮) If I wanted bread I’ll have toast at home, I complained the next day and the “Old lady” there was arguing with me and only wanted to refund me one burrito, unmm NO! Told her I need both refunded, showed her my pictures and bill, spent $18+ on a combo. I almost blew a gasket arguing with her, she gets on the phone with the manager for 10 minutes and the two kitchen staff were left doing the counter and till, she passed the phone to me and I spoke with the manager (he was nice) and remade two burritos for me, guess what? Same thing again, small burritos .
I’ve been a patron at TacoTime since the 1990’s and just recently they cut the portions from two scoops of meat and cheese to one, why rip people off? Give the customer what they paid for!

Read moreI ordered two classic beef burritos and a small deluxe fries and two drinks to go from the polo park location around 11:20am today. I went to have lunch at my wife’s work and when she was eating her deluxe mexi fries she bit into a piece of glass. Luckily she did not cut her mouth.
She phone the location and they offered to remake it? My wife told them to check to see if there was more and they ignored her and just offered to remake it. I will be contacting Manitoba health regarding this incident.
I’ve never seen a lack of common sense from staff at a restaurant and a lack of caring pr empathy. They didn’t even apologize for the incident. This location is disgraceful and disgusting.
Update* head office reached out and said the owner would contact me. It’s been 7 weeks and no one has reached out. I email head office back and zero response. Head office is disgusting with no integrity or care for its customers. There’s no accountability to taco times franchisees.
