Tasty Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Winnipeg

I wish i could give a negative -20 or more if I could!!!!!

I placed a large order and the delivery driver was very rude and very dirty and unkept when he arrived. He never spoke and was very unfriendly. I let that go and unpacked what I thought would be a feast, instead turned into not only a HORRIBLE culinary experience but a personally frightening & threatening experience!

Upon dishing up found the mixed greens were soggy and limp and soaking in water in the container. The rice was FLAVOURLESS & BLAN beyond belief and cold, and so on, you can see where I'm going here. So I called the restaurant within minutes if receing the order and spoke with Jennie.

I told her the reason for my call and she agreed to refund us our money as all of the food we ordered was cold and tasteless. It was very disappointing.

I told her that I'd bagged up all the food to return to them as I didn't want them to think that I was trying to get food for nothing or that I had eaten most of the food.

All containers were still full as I had only tried a couple of bites to realize there were serious issues with the quality of the food.

Jennie and I had a civil conversation no yelling or anything and Jennie apologized. I apologized too and said I was sorry that it didn't work out and didn't want to offend anyone.

Jennie took my email address and said she would e-transfer me the refund and told me they didn't want the food back and to just through it in the garbage.

Minutes later Jennie calls back to say that her delivery driver will bring my refund and pick up the food in about 10 minutes. I said great its all bagged up ready to go.

When the driver arrived it was the same dirty unkept person who delivered the food initially. Still never spoke a word but instead grabbed the two bags from me aggressively knelt on the rug in the hallway outside my apartment door, literally srarted tearing the plastic bags open, pulling apart each bag and each container displaying the full contents of each item. One of which was WonTon soup which spilt a little due to him aggressively opening each package scattering rice, Shanghai noodles etc. all over the carpet in front if my door!

I was in shock and repeatedly asked him "what are you doing?" "You're spilling the food all over the hall carpet!" He didn't stop even when I told him repeatedly to stop. I told him he was acting crazy & that he was just supposed to be picking up the food and refund our money. He still NEVER spoke, I told him to clean up the mess he made and that it was completely unnecessary to do what he had done! He frightened me so bad that I was physically shaking and told him I was going to call the police. He didn't seem to care and just continued with what he was doing and then he aggressively threw the money at me picked up the torn bags with the contents falling out and left without cleaning the mess he needlessly and aggressively made by his inappropriate behavior. I called Jennie just shaking and relayed what I had just experienced and what had just taken place outside my door. Jennie seemed shocked and apologized for her drivers behavior.

I told her that it was a frightening and inexcusable experience. Told her we will NEVER order from them ever again and wish we'd NEVER ordered from them. Told Jennie I've never written/posted a review before but I definitely will now after what happened here today. I've never seen anything like it before.

Also told Jennie that I'm contemplating contacting to he Police due to serious concerns over this drivers angry and inappropriate behavior. Jennie begged me not to contact the Police and apologized for the incident.

I advised Jennie I hadn't made a decision as to what if any action I may take. I still can't believe what took place, I'm still shaking and in shock, it was surreal. Definately lost my...

Ordered 2 Dinners for 10 for a staff luncheon. The food was very tasty and well prepared. We got a ton of food for what we spent. It looks like they haven't embraced indoor dining yet as the dining room looked like it was warehousing take out containers. They dining room looked a little dingy but I'm sure it looks nicer when it's been attended to properly. They advertise a lunch buffet but the buffet cart only had room for four dishes so I'm curious how that will work once they reopen fully. The food we ordered was...

This is our favourite place when we are craving Chinese. We used to frequent the buffet until covid shut that down, been ordering take out and it has never disappointed us. Ginger beef is done perfectly to my husbands taste, mixed veggies are always fresh and crisp love the slices of garlic in that one. Chicken balls full of white meat, we love the chicken low main and their egg rolls are so good! Everything is fresh, they are so polite and reasonably priced and perfectly punctual. I could go on and on!...
