Greetings, I have tried the buffet earlier today, May 9, at 1:15PM. When my friend and I arrived, we met this lady who seemed to be in an unpleasant mood at the receiving section of the restaurant. I asked if this was the buffet, she said yes and I told her that we'll take a table for two. Then she told us that the buffet ends at 2:00PM, and I said, okay no problem, then she tells us that they recommend 1 hour for the buffet and it got me puzzled. Then I finally asked her, "can we eat here or not?" only then did she say that they will prepare a table for us. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like we were a burden to the staff. When we sat down, the server who asked us what we would like to drink also had a stern look. The way he spoke to us was similar to the lady mentioned above. Before I could even sit down with my plate, the bill was already on the center of the table. So I ate my lunch with a charming view of how much money I owe the restaurant. (I've seen Chinese restaurants do this to speed up the payment process, but they always had a dedicated spot on the table where to put the bill, usually a small box, sometimes a drawer under the table) The food was great, but I do not understand why we were treated in such a way. The name of the woman in the reception was Melissa, I believe. And the server was an elderly Filipino guy. Most of the staff didn't seem to be very happy working there. The only person who made us feel welcomed was the man minding the carving station. I believe his name is Ryan, he was real pal. And even though I was speaking with Ryan, that Melissa kept butting in during the conversation, even though she was situated far away, inserting information that Ryan was already telling us (info about the Tuesday to Friday buffet and the Sunday brunch). I was completely disappointed as I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant, and we were very excited to try it. It seems that some of the staff can use some hospitality training as I find attendants of Domo gasoline stations more welcoming and professional than the staff in The Gort...

Overcooked steaks, missed items and just an apology 😑 Didn't offer to replace, didn't make us feel well treated. Have another meeting in the hotel tomorrow and I will be eating at A&W Wish I could give...
Read moreWe had the buffet and that was a joke. The supposedly hot food line was at room temperature if that, I'm sure that the proper temperature is not maintained. Also the food was low quality and flavorless with not much appeal. The salads were ok . Some desserts were ok but some were recycled and had refrigerator taste which is gross. Overall would...
