Updated review : My first visit here was honestly a letdown. The eggs and hashbrowns were completely unseasoned, the toast was burnt to the point of being inedible, and the bacon (deep-fried and rubbery) was layer out across my eggs Benedict. I even showed the waitress the toast, but no apology was offered at the time. We left rather disappointed.
BUT to their credit, the restaurant saw my review and sincerely reached out. They invited us back to make things right.. & they did.
They replaced our entire meal, and gave us a complimentary chocolate pancake. The most important part was they treated us with genuine care. They let us know the bacon had simply been overcooked that day. they DO NOT deep fry it as I had assumed. The difference in quality was clear this time around. I chose ham instead, and it was just fine.
I also appreciate that the staff has since been made aware of the issues and are now properly trained to respond to customer concerns. If something’s off with your meal, just speak up & they will fix it. Both managers visited us today.
One pro tip: the eggs Benedict would still be better without shredded cheese. The hollandaise is rich and lovely on its own and doesn’t need the extra topping. Cheese is not usually added to an eggs Benedict. Usually paprika or green onion(or chives) is added.
Thanks again for taking the time to turn things around it made a big difference.
Original review : We were so disappointed coming here. The food was not good. It may have been the worst breakfast I’ve had. We were better off going to Safeway across the street to make it ourselves! The eggs had no seasoning. Zero. The hasbrowns had no seasoning. I took photos to show..The bacon was actually deep fried and not edible, it was literally strung along the eggs Benedict I had and it was all connected. They put some sort of shredded cheese on top of the eggs Benedict. Totally unnecessary. The toast we had was completely burnt . We couldn’t eat it. It was 50$ no apologies on quality of food , even when I showed waitress the toast. Hard to believe we didn’t finish the bacon with our meals.. work needs to be done here. I definitely took pics to prove our visit was really bad. Maybe it was the day we came? Others seem to have great...
Read moreMe and my mom came in for some breakfast yesterday morning, she got the some eggs and hashbrowns and I had a junior stack, not the servers fault but the food was not very good; the hashbrowns tasted like dust and the pancakes were so rubbery I couldn’t cut them, the eggs were good though even though me and my mom both came home and immediately threw up as it had somehow made us both not feel good. Unfortunately the service wasn’t much better, our server was very nice but she checked on us maybe once when she was constantly checking on everyone else, we stacked our plates to signify we were finished and waited for her to come see us again, not only did we wait 35 minutes for the bill but two other tables that came in after us paid and left even though we were sitting and waiting with our plates stacked and she passed by our table about 8 times; we waited so long we had to call the restaurant on the phone and ask someone to bring us our check as our server had disappeared. If I was a server I would not be expecting a tip if I gave any of my tables that kind of service, again she was polite and the restaurant seemed very clean but it was a...
Read moreNot a bad place to go, however when compared to other breakfast places available; this place does not stack up.
What I liked the most about Stacked was their selection and takes on pancakes. At the time they offered a cinnamon twist pancake, as their name suggests, their pancakes are the star of the show.
I had a skillet and it was lackluster compared to the pancakes. The hashbrowns used for the skillets were more undercooked to my liking, bacon was still good and the only hot sauce available was Franks.
Though not the best breakfast place I went to, I would definitely go if someone invited me to join them. However, this would not be the first place I would suggest going for breakfast.
Service was great, however the restaurant itself felt slightly small. It may have been due to the fact that the place was busy and wanted to squish more people in by providing more seating to the tables. Not the biggest deal for me and my family, however if you have someone who is wheelchair bound; it might be a little tight on...
