The Original Sorrento's — Restaurant in Winnipeg

We have been here many times. Tony and the guys usually do good. The past couple visit lately have left me at a loss. First off it is mother's day on this day. My wife decided to pick this place for her mothers day meal. We walked into restaurant to the sounds of a man complaining that he made an order over 39 min ago and still did not receive the meal. We then hear the waitress say the order was not put in. WOW!!! Warning signs right off the hop. We were seated and were the only other customers in the restaurant. She took the order and then we waited we ordered 3 meals, And salad. We waited 25 min. Then noticed that our waitress forgot about us. She came around the corner and seen us and realized she didn't give the kitchen our order...."oh shi#". Lol at this point. She came back to us (after I just watched her hand the order slip to the kitchen). She said they were cutting lettuce. Lol. We then got our salad 3 min later. It was good, But then had to wait 35 mins for our order. When it came they only brought the lasagna, And the bread sticks with no butter. Lol. The rest of the meals were not ordered. Wow!!! The coke was warm and flat. I think they have alot to work on, Or they just gave up, Or we may have been flagged? After all that, I did not eat the food. They did not charge for the salad. Sorry excuse for a sit down restaurant; would’ve received better service at a McDonalds! -walked in to a sign saying “please wait to be seated” where it was almost 5 minutes before the two of us were acknowledged. -food was bland and mediocre but the waitress wouldn’t know this since not once did she ask how the food was In order to receive the refill on my soft drink I needed to go up to the waitress who was standing at her wicket texting. No customer service at all -Upon finishing up our meal she packed up our food but did not offer to bring the bill. we waited and waited and finally had to ask another employee to bring us our bill. We were the only ones in our entire dining section as it was not even busy. This employee gave us the bill but did not tell us we needed to pay at the front. We continued to wait before finally asking where we pay. -would Not recommend this establishment to anyone. Management, at least hire staff willing to port forth the bare minimum amount of effort to fulfill the duties of their job. Never seen anything like that...

One star, which is a shame because the food usually tastes pretty good... When you pick it up. I do not know what system they use for deliveries but it does not work. I have never had such terrible delivery service in this city. We called twice for our order. We live very close and usually I can pick up my order but this time I could not. 2 hours later, during our second call they said the driver was outside and looking for us. We were outside and we did not see him. We asked them to remake our order due to how long it would have been sitting and we would come and pick it up because by this time my partner could pick it up. The food they gave us was obviously not freshly made, it was cold and dry. I can not see myself going back there in the future after such an extremely disappointing experience. There are many other pizza options in the area that will do a much better job...
