This is the best service and sushi in Winnipeg, Manitoba to me! 🍣 I am a sushi lover!! I love their sushi rolls and tempura so much!! The rolls are delicious with fresh vegetables and seafood, the crispy crispy rolls are one of my favorites!! 🍤And the tempura is so tasty 😋 you will known that they use good and clean oils to make your food!! The staffs are all friendly and welcoming ~ the survivor is sweet and lovely to all the customers, feel welcome and happy to enjoy my meals. it’s really a nice place for having lunch or dinner with family, lovers or friends. It’s clean and tidy inside, the food is fresh and delicious!! I like their easy understanding menu, to be honest.🌸 We order udon, sushi rolls, tempura, fried tofu and pop. I would like to try their sake 🍶next time if I visit Winnipeg again!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hole in the wall worth stoppingfor. Affordable, small but well-curated menu. The standout items I had were the Smoked Salmon Nigiri (cold smoked in house and very unique flavour) as well as the midnight charred Tokyo roll (it tasted like a campfire the moment you put it into your mouth, incredible sensation.) I thought the gomae was unique as well. Great texture on the fish - very fresh, and soft. Small parking out back. Calming music and a small seating area ambiance with a respectful simple layout. Nice view to the freeway gives it a "street food" vibe.

As we stepped in the warmth of the staff welcomed us. We waited for enough time to get our food ready. The food were tempting, and it did not disappoint us. Our meal was savory, and the sushi are tangy. I love that it is not more of sushi rice compared to others, it's like a party in my mouth. They are also generous to serve bonito for my takoyaki. Overall, food experience is lovely. Ambiance has soft lighting and calm music. Worth the price. Servers are accomodating.

Increased quality - Best visit yet (new chef?). Same low prices with the consistent happy/friendly/respectful waitress.

With my most recent visit, they had a new female sushi chef working by herself that haven't seen before. She has amazing knife work and attention to detail.

Highlight of the night: Salmon Sashimi! The slices were cut to the perfect thickness, marinated to perfection and were super fresh. All pieces were consistent in size and marbling. They went superbly well with their custom blended soy sauce. It was on par with Wasabi and Edokko's offerings, but 3 times cheaper.

Rolls: We tried a variety of maki rolls, which we noticed were rolled tighter and the rice used held together better when handled. They were all tasty without complaint - a cut above for the fair price.

Avocado/Veggies: In the past, I would notice black speckled or off-coloured avocado from here occasionally. This time the avocado was perfect ripeness. The same goes with the rest of the veggies used. This chef shows she cares about the customer and pays attention to quality.

Ambieance: It's really quiet, calming music and cozy/private feeling inside. The decor is Japanese based and looks professionally renovated.

Minor Critiques: Hoping for more higher $ cuts of sashimi and nigiri. Really wanted to see...

Decided to stop here on whim as our usual place was take out only at the time.

The place is cute inside and we were greeted by a very friendly server.

The food itself was really good and very reasonable in price considering how good of a quality the food we ordered was.

My table ordered the Sakura Roll, Volcano Roll, Assorted Sashimi and Takoyaki.

Volcano Roll 4/5 Good flavour and portion size, but for myself i'd like a little bit more heat on the volcano roll. It was a bit sweeter for my liking, But the rice was soft and the roll itself was good.

Sakura Roll 5/5 Very savoury taste, and the rice to filling ratio was perfect. There salmon and tuna inside were fresh and a large piece of avocado. The price for the quality for this roll is incredible.

Takoyaki 4/5 Came out piping hot, good amount of bonito flakes. Ocotpus inside was very tender and not chewy, just wish there was a bit more inside. But overall very happy with it.

Sashimi 5/5 The serving size was very generous, the quality was very fresh. Got a good variety, including salmon, tuna, scallops, surf clams and octopus. Everything tasted great.

Definitely added to our rotation of sushi restaruants. Will go and try other menu items in the...

Had an exceptional dinner experience this evening with my fiancé. Service was awesome and the restaurant ambience was cozy. There's a warmth to the restaurant between the music, sushi chefs, and server.

Started with takoyaki which were fried perfectly. Assorted sashimi was high quality, thick cuts, and temperature controlled (for example I hate when you can tell if sashimi has been frozen over and it comes out icy to the touch). I was really impressed that they included tuna toro & scallops for the assorted sashimi today.

Followed up with the spider roll which was really filling and hearty - soft shell crab was slightly overpowered by the yam tempura but the overall roll was still good. Felt like the chef's put a lot of care into the making and presentations of the dishes - down to the thinly cut green onions. Details like these didn't go unnoticed.

Ordered several more rolls like the salmon avocado, tuna bakudan, and chopped scallop rolls and couldn't finish. Plenty leftover for later.

So glad we came to try it today. We will be back soon! Hopefully back with friends...
