After buying our first colossal onion the internal area was raw. The batter was dripping from the middle and off the onion. We asked for a refund at the CNE and they refused to accept that they were in the wrong and gaslight us into saying that their onions cannot be raw as it doesnât contain any eggs milk or dairy but they refuse to tell us what it was actually made out of. Instead of refunding us they gave us another onion and again it was internally raw as well as on the outside. After placing my order and paying as the staff were cooking the onion, I noticed the tool they use to take the onion out of the fryer had fallen onto the floor. Instead of placing it aside for cleaning/using a fresh one, the staff member proceeded to use the utensil that had JUST fallen onto the floor (which wasnât all too clean) to handle the food. The lines were super long and had to patiently wait for half an hour. You have three options (standard, with poutine and fully loaded)
I Asked for jalapenos on top. The whole operation was quick and the staff was courteous and explained all the options even though the line was long.
When it is super hot, you really enjoy the first few bites. The novelty wears off as it gets colder. This should be eaten with friends and family otherwise be prepared for other consequences:)
