Since it was built, this was the best Tim Hortons in Canada. Comfortable fire place group setting. Comfortable seating. Booths to study at with peers. 2018 rolled around and this place stopped being open 24/7.
This truly hurt me but it's a business so I get it. I hadn't been here in a while but I thought to grab a book and come by for some chili and study time. To my shock, this place has been renovated in a very terrible way.
The entire place is iced coffee coloured. The fireplace is gone. The group seating is gone. The BOOTHS are gone. I have no idea what that guy below me is on thinking this place is more inviting. All the seating now is designed to be uncomfortable after 15 minutes. Short benches that barely count as padded. Chairs that wouldn't qualify at a public school. Tiny round tables too close together that nobody could comfortably sit at and share a space with someone.
At the end of the day with nothing guaranteed in this life, I can only be thankful for the quality time I was able to spend here. How many tests did I pass and how many certs did I earn? However, after close to 20 years as a customer, I never need to come back to this location again as long as I live. Closing the book literally and figuratively on this one.
One more reason to leave this area for good. Businesses around here are really sending the message that they don't want you hanging around. Just buy the sugar-loaded slop and get out!
REPLY: It's too late to make it right. The St. Jacobian identity is totally gone. Tim Hortons truly used to be a pillar of Canadian community. I used to be able to count on this place to come study, and get some food and beverages. Now it's just a place I...
Read moreReasons for 1 out of 5 stars: • looks nice and is clean • always slow • the Tim Hortons app allows for curbside pickup at this location... But apparently they don't do curbside pick up. I waited for at least 10 minutes in the parking lot. Eventually I brought my crying newborn baby inside and asked if my food was ready and they had it on the counter waiting. The girl working said they don't have curbside pickup. I said that their app offers it and it would have been nice if someone even peeked outside to check for the customer with the described vehicle on the receipt. I asked if somebody could help me carry the food to the car so that I take the baby. I tried to plan this pickup but it definitely backfired. As I waited, many customers came to the door, saw how big the lineup was, and left. This location is losing on lots of business due to service times and customer flow management. • my previous visit included a long wait for a sandwich that was on a modified bread as per their request because their lunch bread hadn't come in yet. I walked four employees watch another employee make it...they were all standing around doing literally nothing but watching the other two employees manage the customers. And my sandwich on modified as per their request was wrong. The customer in front of me left without ordering once they found out there was no lunch meat when ordering at the counter.
If I were the business owner or manager of this location I would want to know these things.
As a customer, I recommend others go to another location.
Please change the curbside...
Read moreThis morning I went to the drive thru to order a bagel belt and they told me that they didn't have any eggs! I decide to order a bagel with cream cheese, tomato and bacon which they charge me almost $4. When I get the bagel there is barely any cream cheese on it, one slice of tomato and supposedly 3 bacon that looked more like 1 slice. I go back to talk to the person who took the order and the manager is behind yelling. When I go to the window the manger who also made the sandwich starts arguing with me that the sandwich is they way it should be. She gives me attitude telling me that the cream cheese only goes on one side of the sandwich which was not the problem. The problem was the amount of cream cheese, you could barely see it on the bread. I ask her to put more cream cheese and she says no. Then she says she is going to charge me extra to put the proper amount of cream cheese. To start off they didn't have eggs so she should have better customer service and give me a proper sandwich. She was giving so much attitude because she was the manager she thinks she makes the perfect sandwich. It was 5:30am how to do you not have egss at that time? She said that the customer before me bought all of the eggs? REALLY?!?!?! If you don't have something that should be on the menu than you should be more accommodating with your customer, not charging them extra for the bad job that you did. She shouldn't be working as a manager if she doesn't know how to deal...
