Café Alma Criola — Restaurant in Boa Vista

The fan inside was making a squeaky loud noise the whole duration we was there. It was very annoying and very loud. We waited 1 hour 30 minutes for a starter and pasta we kept asking how long it would be they said they didn’t know after waiting for 1hour she said she forgot to give our order to the kitchen. The starter came and it was freezing cold and the sour cream was missing I sent it back to which they proceeded to put it in the microwave so our tacos fell apart also the sour cream was missing again so we complained they said they didn’t have any. We then order our chicken with rice which they put in a takeaway box and not put it on a plate. The chicken was dry the chips were stale the rice was ok. Well we came here as we're doing the rounds of restaurants for evening meal. We both had the Beefburger salad & fries. To be fair when our meal arrived the burger looked very thin but the quality & taste was amazing. The staff here are fabulous despite the language barriers. We're here for 11 more nights & we will be coming back here.

I give Café Alma Criola a 5+. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. Food is delicious. The setup is truly five-star, every detail is thought through--the condiments, sauces, salt and pepper mills, a little windmill to keep the flies away, napkin holder. In short, everything was perfect. When the freshly prepared food arrived, it was perfectly arranged on the plate. They even have child seats and toothpicks on the table.
