We visited Casa Rosa for our first wedding anniversary meal in July after reading all the positive reviews. We notified them in advance that it was our anniversary and on arrival we were shown to a table on the terrace. The table had been set especially for us with a lovely table cloth and heart shaped accessories. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and our waiter nickname G was very attentive without going over the top. The owners were also there and wished us a happy anniversary, lovely people. We went for the mixed starter which all tasted amazing, clean plates. I had the steak fillet, which G even made sure I was ok with the cooking, which was perfect. My wife had the lobster pasta which she said was amazing, all washed down with a bottle of bubbly. We then received a complimentary aperitif and even a chocolate heart shaped cake. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect meal and service. Thank you Casa Rosa for such a memorable evening. If we ever return to Boa Vista we will definitely...

Unfortunately me and my sister got ill in the stomach shortly after visiting the restaurant, we can't say for sure if the illness was caused by the food at this restaurant, hence the 3 stars. The location is very beautiful and the service was good, our server was very spontaneous and helpful. I recommend this establishment to review their hygiene standards, just to be sure. Few additional (minor) points of improvement: Don't argue where your customers can hear you, it is bad practice. Consider making the terrace more shady, we were partially in the sun, but would have preferred sitting fully in the shade. I recommend outfitting all tables with 1 or 2 fly propellers (see image attached), so less time has to be spent...
Read moreTo be honest I never leave reviews but this place let us down on the last day of the trip. The food is 1.5 times the price as other restaurants and the quality is probably worse (not bad but the price is not justified). Moreover, Everything is full of raw garlic which was tough to digest and made us have stomach pain. Quite honestly we ate 1 starter to share and one main each and the main was charged at a price different from the one on the menu (paid 33 euros for octopus which in every other restaurant in the island is ~15 -20 euros. ) It was disappointing and would recommend going to Sodade or te Mange instead. The only thing that was good about this place was the capo verdean waiter (hence the two stars overall) who was friendly but the management did not even say bye when we left and was just busy counting money on the ground...
